sad.gif I just got myself Animal Crossing for DS and was trying to get it to access the internet through my Aztech DSL600EW router but it just won't work.. cry.gif

I had searched through Lowyat forum on this topic but it seems that the old guidelines http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=330118 is deleted or removed.

Seeking help on router configurations from anyone who is playing Animal Crossing for DS and using the above mentioned router.

Thanks in advance!

Most information can be found on www.nintendowifi.com

I am regretable to say that I couldnt help much in your wifi configuration. Would have writen it in my FAQ if i could. But a point for you to consider first

Your animal crossing can only access the net if you have a friend code from your friends and your friend is there waiting for you to go online
You might mistake the not available wifi from the lack of activity or response
It might help us more if you would list out the problem you are havuing from setting up your wireless router.

you're in luck!

Upgraded your router recently? If you do, then we can continue on, coz I'm familiar with the new firmware.

If you updated. Then here's the way to go online. (According to what i've experienced :/)

1. Log in router page
2. Click Advanced -> Application -> Port Forwarding
3. Click DMZ -> LAN Clients
4. Get your MAC Address and the IP your DS is running on (to check, go online on your DS, and check the ips and mac addresses below, at the Dynamic Addresses)
5. Fill in the blanks on the page
6. Click Apply
7. Go back to the DMZ Settings, find for your IP, and check the DMZ box, and apply.

Finito! But don't ask me regarding the router firmware, you have to find it for yourself smile.gif

tongue.gif Wow! Thanks for your guidelines on the new firmware. I had downloaded it from Aztech website and configure as per your instruction here and it is working. Thank you for the help. Once I have my character and everything done for Animal Crossing, I will post my friend code here.

Once again, thanks a lot to you Sheep319! drool.gif

hey, i'm using an Aztech DSL600EW, too.

what firmware did you update to? mine is currently 43.53.1,

and when you updated your firmware from the Aztech website, did it say 'ONLY UPDATE IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH LINE SYNC', or something like that?

thanks.
