1. What's the minimum speed ( kbps ) to play WoW ?

512. In addition, the periodic patches ranges in size, anywhere from 2mb to a 159mb per patch.

2. What kind of latency you're looking for ?

Maximum 300ms. Players in Singapore are playing with 200 to 300ms. Currently I play on TMnet on 600-800ms, up to 1000ms in crowded areas (mass PvP or player hub areas).

3. The connection stability...what makes WoW didn't disconnect..the minimum bandwidth ? ( imagine streaming windows need at least 256kbps to make it looks 30fps on scree ..so I need to know WoW minimum bandwidth )

Like any MMORPG, the client needs constant and reliable connection to the server. Packet loss and latency will adversely affect gameplay and even cause disconnects from the server. Thus a short hop and ping response is needed. WoW was virtually unplayable during the weeks when traffic was rerouted after the Taiwan earthquake (15000 - 25000ms).

4. If I banned P2P ports on my connection plan, will you happy on it ? Since you guys always blamed P2P for the bandwidth problem.

WoW patches are distributed using a downloader that works exactly like Bittorrent, which is a P2P program. Direct download mirrors aren't usually available immediately, thus the BT downloader is almost a necessity for patching WoW.

FYI most of us don't blame P2P for the bandwidth problem, we blame TM's incompetance in anticipating the flow of data. The current "ban" on P2P is hamhanded and making the problem bigger instead of solving it. A packaged deal with download limits would be welcome.

5. How do guys pay the monthly subscription for WoW ? credit card ? Paypal ?

I've used Credit Card and Game Card. WoW requires a Credit Card to authenticate your account in order to be activated.

If those are your first times in WoW the lag there is no indication of what you're about to face. You're probably in the noob starting zones and there's very little lag in those areas. It's only in main cities like Orgrimmar (Horde) or Ironforge (Alliance) that you will see higher numbers. Then again, with the expansion even those cities are deserted at times.

The best way to see your lag is to enter into an Alterac Valley battlegrounds where there are 40 Horde vs 40 Alliance in a single map. Unfortunately AV is only for level 51 and above.
