Wow. This kind of blanket perception and generalization still exists?
I think you better check the back/bottom "Made In" label of all the air purifiers out there.
And at least google when someone genuinely makes a recommendation to you. Otherwise why bother posting here and just wanting to read what you want to read: probably = "Yeah, get the RM3,000 designed in Sweden silent air purifier with RM500 filters every 3 months."
The Xiaomi has been reported to be ~95% as effective as the BlueAir.

So far I haven't see anybody complain about Xiaomi air purifier being defective in https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/307230/+440Besides it's only <RM800. What makes you think your Sharp can last that long too? Not forgetting that most air purifier on the market, their replacement cartridge is around for 1-2 years (force you to buy a new unit every few years). Xiaomi is different. They are even selling spare parts for their first phone until today. So get one with a local warranty (mean the seller bear the costs ship back to China to repair in case defective)

har213, if our Singaporen neighbours can be happy with Mi Air Purifier, I don't see why you cannot. The following is a review of the Mi Air Purifier during last year haze by a Singaporean. http://yingvannie.com/unboxing-my-new-xiao...t-air-purifier/

QUOTE(bad_khui @ Aug 8 2016, 11:47 AM) TS, can consider Atmosphere Air Purifier. This one very good, it definitely can help you. PM me for more information Lol paying RM2k+ for a air purifier when cheaper ones like Sharp/Xiaomi works.
