Btw how do i know the capacitor is working anot? When i switched off car ignition or disconnect the usb supply. The cam shut off immediately.

A capacitor dashcam without power cannot power on. And when turn off the engine is the dashcam is almost immediately powering off itself.

A capacitor only holds enough power to save the last video file and the settings only. Very different from dashcam using lithium batteries which can power on and use for about 5-to minutes by itself.

wanna buy this..but it just record front...hopefully the firmware upgrade can utilize AV out for rear camera

Are those cpl filter can really minimize the reflection of the dashboard? Its quite noticeable when i play the recording file at pc....its not really a problem ,but just a bit disturbing some image of ur dashboard appear, or can it be solve by adjusting the lens position?

Yes can but some tint actually gives rainbow effects...

Hi guys, wanna ask the GPS lock speed, fast or slow? i drive like for 10 mins it still doesnt locked down my position. But sometime it is quite fast..

Depends on lots of factors on how fast the A119 connects to GPS... Cloudy day, surrounding buildings, electrical interferences, etc...

I think so as depending on where I am... Like coming out from car parks and all... If an open area, it's quick to lock on to GPS...

What's the differences between this beta mode and V2.06? Parking mode is already there in V2.06 isn't?

Currently the A119 records in timelapse when parked if you have it hardwired to your car.

Whereas now the parking mode is based on G-sensor and motion detect. It will record a normal video for a few minutes when G-sensor or motion is detected will automatically switch from the timelapse mode.

I've yet to test the A119's new parking mode as A119S also have beta firmware with improved image quality. Maybe after the A119S, will test the A119's parking mode.

Thanks for the detail explanation. Seems like the beta firmware is the one to go for.

The design seems good for rear camera.
Wonder if it worth to buy second unit for that :thinking:

My friend installed A119 for front and rear in his XV

My unit tends to restart sometimes by itself. Could it be issue with the unit or wiring?

Check the GPS mount. Got some known issues on the connectors to power the A119.

Can try this solution on the youtube video or plug the USB to the side of the A119 instead of the GPS mount to power it and the GPS will work also.
