Hey everyone!

I've decided to go with A119 (instead of A119s, can't really tell the difference). Is buying from Dfaro a good deal or buy from somewhere else? RM359 https://dfaro.com/gadgets/Car-Camera/viofo-...cam-support-gps

I'll probably give it to a shop to do the installation but I'll like to ask, is there different types of installation? Like to the cigarette power or directly to fuse box or something? need to buy additional hardwire kit?

Hope for your guidance on this, I do want to keep recording when my car is parked, a119 only records when there is movement?

A119S is using Sony Exmor sensor which has better night videos but at 1080p. A119 is 1440p video.

Dfaro is selling the A119 without GPS mount... You can search in Aliexpress for about US90+ with GPS Mount...

Actually, you can just use the cigarette power if you don't want to use parking mode or want to use the cigarette port for something else.

Hiding the cables is easy. No need to bring to people to install and you use more money...


Yes using directly from fuse requires a hardwire kit...

Do you guy switch on WDR all time or switc off. Does it make it worse for night driving especially with CPL filter??

I definitely need the parking mode in case anybody bang my car while parking, this means I must get the hardwire kit right?

Must I get a hardwire kit specifically for A119 or any general ones also can, then I can just bring to workshop directly and use whatever hardwire kit they got..

Any hardwire kit that uses mini USB can work with the A119... Not sure if the accessories have the hardwire kit or not...

How to update:



Please do the following to upgrade the dash cam

If your camera firmware version is V1.1 or earlier, please upgrade the loader LDBA119.bin first.

If you have already installed the V2.0 firmware, no necessary to upgrade the loader, please ignore the #3--#6 steps.

From V1.4 firmware, the firmware will be automatically deleted from Micro SD card after upgrade completed.



Use max. 32GB card formatted by camera or on computer as FAT32
Insert card in camera and connect it to computer using USB cable
Copy just the LDBA119.bin on the root of the card
After LDBA119.bin is copied to the card disconnect the camera from computer
Reconnect the camera to your computer and wait few seconds until you can choose Mass Storage from camera menu
Delete LDBA119.bin from the card using your PC and
Copy the FWBA119.bin file on the root of the card
Reconnect the camera to your computer and wait more seconds until you can choose Mass Storage from camera menu, the front red LED will be blinking while upgrading.

Now you can disconnect the camera from PC and enjoy new A119 implementations.

getting a119 but 64gb or 128gb sd card? which i should get?

Depends on how long you want to record... 64gb can record about 6+ hours and 128gb about 12+ hours...

Can i use it without gps logger? I mean if i dont mind about my car speed and location...or anyone can advice is it better with gps logger? Cant decide between lazada seller with gps logger but no warranty and dfaro with 3 months warranty but without gps logger....price are almost the same rm344 to rm349

Yes.. it can work fine without gps, except the clock time. The displayed time will not be accurate over time. Sometimes, it may reset itself during start up.

With vs without warranty + gps? Yeah.... very difficult decision to make. But mine has been working fine so far, for almost a year usage by now. I think this thing is durable.. try to google more and see how many people had issues with this. Then, after that you can make a choice easier as to whether to buy with or without warranty...
