Just got the A119S. Is it normal for the focus to be within 5m from the front of the car? I can only read license plates that are around that distance from the front of my car. A bit farther cannot read liao.

Hello! Im actually planning to get the hardwire kit for viofo a119. However I saw the once at Viofo website has the temporary battery feature. Whereas the one at AliExpress does not have it. Are they the same? Does this mean the one originally from Viofo website can record even during parking whereas the once at AliExpress can't?

Those who know, please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

What I mean is, does it have a temporary battery in the power box whereby it will provide power even the car engine is off. Then I can On the motion detector during parking mode. Does this hardwire able to work that way?

The A119 and A119S are using capacitors. It only has enough power to save the video file and settings when power off.

This dashcam doesn't use any lithium battery to avoid common battery issue when use in a hot environment like bloating or leaking or exploding...

Hardwire kit is direct plug to your car fuse box to draw power direct from the car battery so that it will have the power to record when the car is off.

It's normal. Will be out soon.

Usually, the China seller will under declare the value of the items, so you don't have to pay tax.

Nice... thanks for the reply @blurjoey!. So it will still record if the car is off if hardwire directly to fuse box. Next thing, would it drain the car battery alot or drain the the battery mampus blink.gif ?

I think it will drain flat if you left your car for more than a week? If you drive your car every day so that the alternator charges the car battery, shouldn't be a problem.

If not mistaken, it's either time lapse or motion detection when in parking mode...

It's a good to have items if there is a lot of reflections in the videos.

Do take note that some tinting will give rainbow effects in the video with the CPL during the day.

Like mine with CPL and Llumar tint...

Thanks for the advice. After reading all the positive comment here, I think this product must be quite good for that value.

Actually this effect can be replicated by wearing polarized sunglasses, we will see this rainbow color.
So, anyone thinking to buy the filter can try wearing their polarized sunglasses and see whether got this rainbow thingy or not. smile.gif
