Weekend car Bmw X5 or CLS Mercedes?

I know everyone has a different definition of a weekend car, but those two listed are more like daily driver in the sense that both are actually very practical cars on a day to day basis.
it makes more sense to get something less common, for example an SLK coupe right? weekend cars are meant to be impractical and has a sense of occasion. the X5 and CLS are way too common.
