I'm considering to buying a camera and I'm stuck with this two model.i need to buy a camera that can use long term and can shooting most of every moment(travel, portrait, street shooting,indoor or nightsences).ppl suggest me mirrorless
more than DSLR,because I'm newbie.

I browse all the review of these camera through online and I found out most of the review on web lack of disadvantage of these camera and the review is outdated. come with comparison they always suggest other mirrorless camera like a6000(within rm3000-3500price range with kit lens)but I like xt10 and em10 mrkii.

Micro 4/3 and apsc, is that really important ??
I like these 2 camera because of their image color but I still need more opinion from these 2 camera feedback.

Looks or functionality? If you want both fuji cam is the in between IMO.

Unless you dont have any specific issue like bulk and size, why not dslr? Dslr like nikon and canon has longer history and their lenses are easier to come by especially second hand.

I also had consider go dslr,but fullframe DSLR are over my budget.then
I also did research about Nikon d5500, but the only disadvantage is their lens, expensive and the Len category is limited like Sony.so...I go back to mirrorless...haizzz

Frankly speaking since your requirement is rather broad, any camera can do the job, to be honest, even iphone. Otherwise maybe start with cheap cam like a5100, x-a1, d3300 or epl7 first before deciding which lens and body combo to use in future.

If you just cool look factor, either fuji or olympus. If you want bang for bucks, maybe try a6000 (but no touch screen if you are not comfortable without touch focus) Dslr if you want better ergonomic.

I think best would be if you can try out both camera yourself.

frankly speaking as I do use both of them, I would go with Fuji

As far as my experience goes, Olympus tends to have more rich details on dark scene (shadow), and the color tone somehow Olympus nails it perfectly. My only complain on olympus is they don't perform well on bright scene (highlight)

Fuji however, tend to have a good balance for both shadow and highlight.
both Fuji and Olympus does produce a great lens quality.

Functionality, Performance Wise, ease of use, I think generally both are about the same.
I use Fuji XE2 (and I do tested out XT1 and XPro1) and Olympus OMD EM5.
depending the situation given, I somehow prefer my XE2 for general shooting. easier to recover an error most of the time.
on evening scheme, I would go with my Olympus..

Can't explain it, but the feeling just there.
Advise you to test both camera and see which one you like

i would suggest u to go with hassle-free camera like fuji x100t. APSC sensor, photo quality is superb. the only down side is its a fixed focal camera. but u can take it as a plus point cos u dont need to maintain the lens.

This might be a better choice.

I would grab this too for casual shooting

Hellevil didnt specify much about what he plan to buy camera for. Travel? Starting photography hobby? Looking cool? Impressing girls? Depending on needs x100 may not be a good idea.

yeah... maybe best if we wait his/her reply and probably he can tell us on the direction he wants to go..

he has already mentioned that the camera would be used for those purposes. therefore i think fuji X100T may suits him.

Travel = very versatile camera in terms of size and functionality
Portrait = good to shoot portrait too
Street Photography = best suit for street shooting
Indoor or low light = it can handle all

Nikon d5500 using other model range ,if not mistaken the Len they using is with a G letter. Nikon got a lot lenses I knw but with a G word is not much. I did go ask some ppl wht the different btw with a G letter ,thy said G is with some motor inside the lens 0.o

XE2 with 27mm pancake lens is almost a X100T but with the flexibility of using other focal lengths or zoom.

But I would strongly suggest you to test out both camera before you making your decision.
I would say it is a subjective thing. some may like, some may not. depends on your taste.

I rarely research on compact camera,just heard that thy said xt100 is the best camera for street photographer,and thy start coming out a lot of lens converter. Any disadvantage of this camera?

That.....really depends on the condition of the shooting IMO. At certain condition, at certain light, image produced can look either washed out or contrasty. I did some survey before but found a lot of inconsistency with some testify different result using same camera. Fuji somehow have the best jpeg out of all especially in terms of skin tone but some argue that it is not natural colour. Also image tends to vary depending on models and lens...not brands.

IMO, raw output and postprocessing is what you should be capturing if you care about colour and contrast a lot. Most camera can do the job, unless you get into the nitty gritty detail of dynamic range and noise.

Btw, do study the advantage and disadvantage of different sensor size and why m43 is popular despite smaller sensor before you jump to conclusion based on this discussion.

Then x100 can be quite boring. The lens is fixed to the body meaning forget lens selection. But image quality is good and less hasssle cause the lens is optimised with the body.

Like i said, if you dont know how you going to shoot, get an entry level camera first. Brands is really up to preference so cannot advice you on that.
