Has anyone tried this before, from the description seems like requires to connect to starter switch socket (voids warranty?)

I'm using it currently..according to the shop the socket is just plug and play so it will not void warranty.
not sure whether it's true or not . hmm.gif

Do you have to keep removing the lock when not in use?

Had a lock used in hilux that doesn't need to be removed, just some load spring when lock - unlock....
*
Yup..it's exactly like that. u dont need to remove it. the lock stays there. just tarik only to lock.

So the car won't 'remember' your setting ?
Hmm very big turnoff 4 me
*
It's not a big deal. Just push the off button whenever I see the green light lit on the meter panel. It's turned on by default i think.

Finally..got my gear up package yesterday after a month waiting. Sure looks nice.
I noticed the car feels a little bit heavier after installing the package.
Average fuel consumption also drop to 21.4km/l (last time it's 23.6km/l). But overall still nice. Loving it. thumbup.gif

Lama sengoti tunggu terrr...kebetulan perodua mengalami masalah vendor karpet terbakar, dua minggu line assembly perodua tak jalan production. Vendor lain pun kena stop production juga dua minggu...

Fuhh, very tragic episode for perodua this time...tough situation, now APM got awarded by perodua to produce carpet.
*
yer boh..meme lama sengoti. buleh tu pun sebab ambo call direct ke perodua hq royat lamo dh tunggu. Dio tolong percepat proses jadi minggu tu jgk la sapa barang. sweat.gif

QUOTE(Doraku @ Sep 4 2016, 07:45 PM)
My older brother work at Perodua SC, and he say the gear up package is just 4-6kg and not heavy at all, hmm. hmm.gif
*
Maybe just my imagination..but however I tried i can't get that 23.6km/l anymore (can get that easily last time). but now after gear up installed max i can get 21-22 km/l only.
Will try again tomorrow.

QUOTE(modjojojo @ Sep 4 2016, 09:10 PM)
maybe all that skirting affects the aerodynamics?
*
QUOTE(hailiss8384 @ Sep 4 2016, 10:23 PM)
Your allegation is quite convincing as the coefficient of drag (Cd) aerodynamics analysis for bezza is based on WITHOUT gear up kit. Bezza Cd (coefficient of drag) valued at 0.263. In the matter of fact in computational fluids dynamics, the kit had restrict the per claimed of km/L in the realtime data.

However, need to get into wind tunnel to get tested Cd (coefficient of drag) WITH the gear up kit for new data.
*
QUOTE(xperiaVuser @ Sep 4 2016, 10:36 PM)
Interesting... the bezza has a boattail-like design to help reduce drag. The rear skirt probably created a parachute-like effect.
*
Yea..maybe that's why I feel the car is a little bit heavier than before. Been driving this car for a month already without gear up kit so I can totally confirm this.
But to think the weight for all the bumpers and side skirting is only 4-6kg is quite illogical is it? Should be more than 10kg at least. hmm.gif

I noticed there are two plastic flaps at the bottom front edge of the bumper... maybe it's to redirect air to the side of the car and prevent air from directly hitting the front wheels. Are the flaps still there with the gearup bodykit?
*
The flaps are still there but not as visible as before installing gear up kit..it's little bit hidden under the bumper

Perodua SC advice me yesterday to use 30psi for the tyre pressure. 28psi if long travel.
They even recommend to change the rim to 15inch and wide tyre for good handling & cornering
