Thank you...

Just to compare, I am replacing my 2001 perdana v6, runs great but getting old.

Also wife will use it to drive my kid to school and stuff.

Maybe somedays I might take it to work.

But on weekends there might be 4 adults and 1 car seat.

Test drove the 1.3 Advance variant. What i should say is what u pay is what u get. Dont expect anything better than vios or city or any of your b segment car.

The car feels heavy to be driven. So its very suitable for new drivers. But at the same time, it feels very lazy to move as well, so maybe thats how they manage to achieve a very good fuel consumption. Brake is decent for a perodua cars. A little throttle lag for this car too.

The eco idle sounds rough to me when the car auto restart back the engine. Yes, the aircond, radio and every other thing else operates except the engine, so no worries.

There is an electric power steering as per the SA, but to me, im like driving a larger car with hydraulic power steering, and the leather wrap on the advance variant steering dont feel any better. I would prefer the rubberised one. Same goes to the speedometer for the advance variant which looks abit cheapo to me. And the central locking isnt functional on the driver side's lock switch. Its only functional on the specially built-in central locking button found on the dash.

The entire car is from a very thin structure. The seats are short, so u feel there is alot of legrooms. The doors are thin and so u feel a little more spacious. The floors are super thin till u can feel every humps and lumps on the frame, especially the reat seats. The car is super light till the entire car shakes even when u close the door gently.

On the positive side, yes, it saves fuel and its a perodua! So, im pretty sure the maintenance cost and others comes in less expensive. Resale value for a perodua is rather good, afer all, we are malaysians and we prefer perodua, toyota, and honda just to name a few. It is spacious on the rear seat, and it looks alot more larger than the axia although it is of the same width amd height of the latter. The boot space i doubt thou as it appear not to be so spacious to me, or maybe its just me. However, hard plastics are to be found EVERYWHERE and the bold lining across the passanger dashboard isnt any piano black finishing.
What i do love is the feel when u open the door from the outside (or maybe its a new car) .. it feels so solid! Wear and tear maybe?

Anyway, to me, yes the car hits the right pricing spot. The only thing i would like to voice out is why the car is so underpowered!? I believe the similar engine used in indon variant avanza isnt that that bad. I would say attrage is a better car but of course u need to pay more. 1.2L mivec engine with low horsepower and torque count still gives u more satisfaction. Now there is a plus point for those who own an axia since axia feels better in overall because its small and cheapest, hence we dont demand more. Bezza, on the other hand, is more towards a game changer car and so ppl tend to expect more when the price is already so cheap.

To me, the difference of price between axia and bezza (of the same specs of course) is the cost for the extra boot (not including vsc, push start, etc which is missing on the axia)

Thats all for my review on the 1.3 advance variant smile.gif

Thanks...

It will also be my wife's first car as she is taking up driving now. So from that perspective it seems ok, no?

Yes of course. Either bezza or axia will suit her. Both cars are underpowered but bezza is worse. This means better control for new drivers as they wont go fast anyway unless she floor the gas paddle, which immediately drops the gear and rev up, but oh well, its just more to sound effect than a go.

Another thing is axia will give more satisfaction (just my point of view) because the car is small and the cheapest, so we wont demand for anything more, unlike the bezza.

Axia will be better if she is the sole driver of the car but if u or her plan to bring up friends and family in the car with some luggage, bezza will be the answer. In short, axia if she only drives from point A to B alone or 2, Bezza for practicality and convenience.

To me, its a very recommended car for new drivers as the car is small and underpowered with slower steering response. A nice car for a new driver to improve the driving skills before steeping to a better car. Pls take note that longer car means harder to park for new drivers but it also means improving skills on larger cars in future.

Just my point of view smile.gif correct me if i am wrong.

Is it really a bad car?

I got my wife to book it the 1.3 advance version, just for normal driving to work and around the town.

Are the back seats really uncomfortable?

Is the back seat comfortable? This question differ from individuals.
To me, why ppl said its uncomfortable is because they sat in many other cars before which is more expensive and comfy. Comparing to bezza, of course there will be complains. Uncomfortable is due to the straight up rear seats to compensate the huge boot space. Some can accept in short journey, some cannot even sit quietly.

To me, its acceptable in short journey. Perodua have tried. Its their best for this moment

My family went for a test drive, SA in front passenger seat, mum driving, wife, left side back seat, 2 year daughter in center (baby car seat using the seatbelt), dad in right side back seat.

They all said that it was okey, no complaints, so I am kinda convinced.
*
Yes. For car with such price and such equipment, i have not much to complain either. To me, short journey is acceptable. Havent try in long distance yet since its just a test drive.
Hope future owner can give more review in future

Bro when you say bezza underpowered you are talking about the 1.0 or 1.3? Don't tell me 1.3 also underpowered? Did get to test drive bcs my father only test drive it, no time for me bcs many people are waiting for test drive also.

1.3L advance variant. I prefer the power in the 1.2L mivec attrage although it has low hp and torque. But of course, u need to pay more.
Even axia 1.0 give me more driving satisfaction.

Totally agree with u bro. Good for practice. My 1st car is a Kancil 660 and i floor the pedal frequently, thinking back if i was driving faster cars i might alr in the grave now haha. And when i upgrade to a Civic it was super dificult to park it at 1st. Bezza should be good for beginners, better than Myvi IMO.
*
I agree with u too smile.gif since the car is a sedan, and yet it is also small, i believe it can be estimated easier than normal sedan we see on road, just that it appears to be larger.

Agreed especially they put a sticker showing the jam protection on the back window of the show-car.
