QUOTE(tslim2531 @ Aug 1 2016, 05:05 PM) Hi darth5zaft, thanks a lot for your info. iriz is like a chepo but more reliable conti car? So far how is your review regarding the Iriz MT as a real owner? I kinda still have some hope on the upcoming Persona (which will be based on Iriz platform) due to the strong chassis, safety features and handling. But having said that, I am just looking for a car for normal usage. Seldom do aggressive driving, just aim for fuel saving and practicality and long term low cost maintenance. Hence, which landed me towards the Bezza. Perodua do not provide MT BEzza for test drive, it kinda bugs me on how it drive.... it's ok, the FC is very akin to myvi, the car is really quite comfy, the seats is really great. excellent on B road the feedback and sound is rewarding but the same feedback and sound makes it not really fun on highway though. it's worked as a mundane car, the clutch is almost magical while hill hold make driving a manual not a nuisances. proton is a proton. QC is not an issue anymore, no one get a lemon nowadays but everyone will get a headache with design imperfections. looking at persona spyshot. it is rather apparent they never learn. |

QUOTE(mywingame @ Aug 1 2016, 05:03 PM) Based on carlist they said " the Bezza’s manual transmission is enhanced with double synchromeshes for all ratios." So this should be some improvement over the Axia one, plus for 1.3 Variant I believe they will use different set of gearbox with different Ratio like how Myvi 1.0 vs Myvi 1.3 same hereIriz I never tried before so I couldn't give any comment on this Even the new Persona or Saga released, I would still think twice to get them due to 1. Their engine will be refreshed another year + - 2. Once new engine launched, RV will drop dead for those with old engine unless price differ is obvious. So I'm plotting to get this Bezza as replacement and I need a Sedan cause I already have Hatch So when new Persona or saga released with new engine, I would just sell off this Bezza which still have good RV on it and get them (If they are good enough to convince me to change) already has a hatch so in need of a sedan. I doubt their GDI engine would safe them personally I think it's gen2 campro phase all over again an engine built under a year by a European cheaply? yeah that completely scream reliability |

QUOTE(.:Toaster:. @ Aug 1 2016, 07:41 PM) Have to wait till Persona is released I guess...I made my mind up because I want to give perodua a try... Plus it is already released and can be available soon... Another factor is feedback from current perodua owners quite good... Mechanics that I go to also recommend perodua, they say as long as we keep up with the maintenance... I know the bezza automatic transmission is based on old technology, not necessarily a bad thing... I hardly speed, either I am travelling to work or I am ferrying my family around so always quite slow... |

QUOTE(kutitata @ Aug 1 2016, 07:50 PM) Have to wait till Persona is released I guess... I've tested bezza 1.3 adv, loved the smooth drive, and I have done quite a lot of research on the car, in my opinion, I think it is really value for money (especially the VSC), but it's the engine performance that worries me I made my mind up because I want to give perodua a try... From what I read, Bezza has minor differences with Myvi 1.5 in engine displacement (1495cc - 1329cc), HP (76kw - 70kw) and torque (136Nm - 121Nm) so in theory (just my opinion), Bezza shouldn't be too far in term of the performance with the Myvi 1.5 (considering other factors as well such as kerb weight and engine technology) But during the test drive, I did feel a bit "lag" in the acceleration, However after reading through the discussion, now I only realize it is caused by that "drive-by-wire" system even with the "lag" feel, I couldn't believe that I've reached 80km/h when I was driving at that time btw, Paultan got the top speed to 150km/h on a straight road, which is ok to me cause I never drive a car anywhere above than 120 This post has been edited by .:Toaster:.: Aug 1 2016, 08:24 PM |

QUOTE(kutitata @ Aug 1 2016, 09:20 PM) QUOTE(xperiaVuser @ Aug 1 2016, 09:26 PM) Proton calls it esc. Perodua Toyota call it vsc. Some German brands call it esp. Whatever the name. It's function is the same. Make sure your car follow where you want it to go. Haha About time Malaysian life stop being treated like cheapo disposable. |

Went to showroom to checkout the car. IMHO , the door is way too light and provide the impression it's really thin. I was wondering how will the car fare if the crash test is made from side(saw the crash test was on front of the car) , and there's no side airbag to protect the passengers.anyone has info on this if there was any side crash test conducted ?Other than that it's a good car, can fit tall guy like me >180cm comfortably, but with addition of armrest console will be even better. Perhaps only in the next Facelifted version?

QUOTE(xperiaVuser @ Aug 2 2016, 12:57 AM) Hey bro, does bezza comes with a build in auto lock for sterling? Like myvi once you turn off engine when you move the sterling to a certain angle it will lock up. But I tried the same thing with my bezza it didn't lock?? |

The myvi FC is about the same as iriz. So it's likely the "power" come at the cost of fuels. Probably mean parts will last longer due to less wear and tear. Some cars put a sport button to change the ecu to make it powderful at the cost of fuels. But doubt perodua will do it as I don't think such button exist in daihatsu nor they are selling "performance" |
