Guys, I've been reading and watching video on brewing and am ready to try on my own.
What type of syringes do you guys use? Do you reuse them or dispose them once used? Where do you buy your syringes?

QUOTE(nekkidgramma @ Sep 6 2016, 04:08 PM) Welcome fellow DIYers! Instead of mixing by volume, why don't you mix by weight instead? All you need is a kitchen scale and that's about it. Just look for some instruction vids online QUOTE(markypcs @ Sep 6 2016, 04:12 PM) I'd recommend mixing by weight instead of volume! Invest in a weighing scale with accuracy to 0.00, you can find em on lelong for cheap. Syringes take up a lot of time and it's just a hassle. Yes I also saw tutorials on mixing by weight. Since I'm not mixing in big volumes (maybe 1 or 2ml of certain flavoring), I worry that I might accidentally add too much of certain ingredients since I need to used syringe mix it up right. Will cause wastages. This post has been edited by JaredC: Sep 6 2016, 05:38 PM

QUOTE(markypcs @ Sep 6 2016, 05:49 PM) Well, if you are not mixing a lot of different flavors then I guess syringes suit your needs. I bought 0.5ml syringes from watson for my nicotine. I would still recommend mixing by weight though. Mixing by weight is better if I want to mix complicated juices? Do you wash and reuse your syringes?

QUOTE(6oLsh0i_6o0z3 @ Sep 6 2016, 07:04 PM) Yes you can wash and reuse your syringe, just make sure wash and clean thoroughly to avoid contamination. OR you can use disposable pipette. Blunt needle tip syringe - SyringeDisposable pipette - PipetteBut I recommend mix by weight like the others suggest as well. Less hassle, less cleanup. Plus, flavorings usually comes with a PET bottle with a tiny tip, makes it easier to boop boop boop into the bottle. 0.01g Scale is accurate to a hundredth of a gram btw. What's your preferred volume to mix anyway? 30mL? I plan to mix in small amount like 10 or 20ml first, then if it's good, I may mix up to 100ml or more. Is 0.001g scale better or 0.01g is sufficient? I saw someone selling scale in lelong costing rm10++. Are those good enough? This post has been edited by JaredC: Sep 6 2016, 10:12 PM
