any bros here swap their injector to vios injector? vios injector is 12 holes vs current 4 holes on alza injector, in theory it makes the air fuel mixture mix better and better combustion efficiency thus better fuel economy. was thinking to give a try so seeking advise from bros here.

After replace better response.

The stock combustion setup is indeed slightly lean. Just wondering if replacing the injector makes the fuel mixture alot much richer or just nice?

It is indeed richer compared to the stock ones.

I done step by step upgrades to achieve my current FC to meet my ideal numbers.

Stock :
> injectors green ( slightly responsive than stock but FC a tiny bit more )
> K&N Air filter ( better response but FC much higher especially KL town driving )
> toyota vios air map sensor ( response becomes linear unlike previously sudden response , FC improved as like i'm running stock air filters )
> exhaust headers 4 - 1 setup ( best response and best FC i get on highway. If KL town driving with heavy foot then FC will become quite high )

I had the same as yours but different ways.

> exhaust headers 4 - 1 setup (Best response.  FC same unless my heavy foot works more).
> injectors green with air map vios (ok la..FC improved a bit.  now in city I get like 8-10+ L/km)  Hiways (70-30) i can get like 6+L/km).  *no reset of AVG.

Still using standard air filter and platinum plugs.   BTW, just had 2nd round change of coolant (DIY).

Oh ya I left out spark plugs.

I did my first mod on my first service. Got my spark plugs replaced to iridiums.

Ori air filter did make alot of difference in terms of FC in my experience ( example k&n give 7.4L / 100km , ori filter 7.1L / 100km ) but engine response slightly dull.

At the moment i just learned that SC allowed customers to bring their balance oil for next service usage, so i came up with this idea to pour in my choice of engine oil into perodua oil bottle ( fully synthetic Bardahl 5w/40 with B1 oil additives ) and kindly ask them to use my balance oil tongue.gif

somehow the iridium no give me any improvement.  I changed back to normal/platinum now.  cheaper.

K&N gave me lower push at lower RPM... unless I make the engine change gears above 3.5k rpm.  My friend persona changed to knn, ya..he said when push is nice.  Nowadays, knn filters also expensive liao.

Engine oil is own preferences...ya, SC do allows to bring own oil.

ya true, i last bought my k&n from kakimotor like 2++ , bought because i thought it would same the same effect as my prev kenari manual but yea below VVT kicks in it does felt abit sluggish.

a little correction to previous post, i pour in my choice of oil to perodua bottles instead of just handing over my choice of oil in new bottle tongue.gif

well still abit hesitating to service outside perodua SC as kinda worried with their A/C prob and absorbers .
next yr my car will be 3rd year and more than 100k mileage, see if its still good to send in to perodua SC.

I only knows my cbr bike has iridium plug as it is hard to change due to tight compartment.

New alza...donno until someone can confirm, but I doubt it.

BKR5E 11?.i thought alza use colder plug with number 7 heat range and 9 mm gap?

As what i observed , from my previous P. Kenari to current Alza SE it comes with cold rating of 5 for NGK plugs. Maybe a cold rating 6 is usable but not 7. If it has too cold of a rating, carbon deposits might not burn properly and stick on the ceramic ( white ) tips beneath the nickel/copper tip.

Once i saw 3rd party workshop replace Denso K20R-U11 to Myvi 1.5 .

Just my 2 cents.
