why compressor and aircond pulley is seperate? They not come together? Coil? Condenser or evaporator? Or both? if compressor + condenser + evaporator then it is a good pricing as they use denso products.

I twice went to perodua to get quote to change timing belt for myvi and viva, (1.0) use timing belt. You can try list the part you need and ask them to quote. It is a standard for seller to let now the price before sell...

Honestly, ask the aircond man to do pressure test. If no leaking, there's no reason to replace evaporator or cooling coil.

New compressor doesn't come with magnetic clutch?... Fishy...

If yr compressor clutch is kaput, how he able to test either the gas pumping rate is good or not on low side and high side.
Pressure test means A/c man pump some refrigerant o N2 gas into system and observe from gauge either there's any leak or not after observe maybe around 2 hrs.
Some car  have low pressure switch. If run out of refrigerant due to leaking, it'll prohibit the compressor from running. In this case, you won't see the compressor clutch is engage.

Ideally If micro leaking case, you'll feel your aircond cooling effective gradually not as cool. If it's overnight not cool, then it's not due to evaporator leaking.

Normally compressor internal damage, it's advice to solve it immediately to avoid the the contamination of broken part damage the evaporator.

Remember to get the a.c. man do flushing during replacement of compressor. Else u may seeing evaporator damage in short period of time after replacement.

and also my first time to see compressor without clutch. and to make it even more fishy is..... "no warranty" for both items, for real?

If can, make sure you change the cabin filter at least once a year or every 20k km.  sometimes it is very dirty after 6months.

Well even an authorized denso service center would con you too. I remember I sent my old myvi few years ago to denso authorized dealer in Glenmarie and he demand more than rm3000 to fix the aircon issue. I end up sending the car to a shop in Kepong and get the aircon fix at rm600 and its working fine until now.

I think it will be good to 'keep' a list of good workshops and everyone maintain it.

Not just AC, but also other good or bad SC... etc.

Seems to be too general..and you are very quick.. i think we need to 'brainstorm' first on how to if wanted to..

Maybe more specific, the objectives like Perodua SCs... someone would need to maintain the master list. 
optionally,  I am thinking an excel file that parked somewhere where everyone here can put in remarks or updates so there is no duplications too.

I have wrote regarding this before, if you have bought the thin high flow filter can actually install both combined. The thick normal filter on top of the thin high flow filter.
Best of both world...

The high flow filter is reuseable as the thick filter will be more dirty.
