Hi, I am going to get my new Alza SE in coming week. I would like to get some advice from all the owners here on how to take care of car paint as well as other relevant tips. Thanks in advance.!!

Passion Red of course. I just got it today, went for coating.

Coating to protect from UV/dust/acid rain/scratches etc... Cost is depending on the type and durability.

I choose Ceramic Coating which basic package cost about 360+ while normal will be 500+ and VIP is for exterior and interior which cost 800+. Basic last at least a year while VIP last up to few years with 2 years warranty (frequency of checking the coating is every 6 months)

If you have the budget, I would prefer you go for Sensha Coating which cost over RM1k.

Anyone installed Daytime Running Lights on Alza before (DIY) or go to accessories shop?

Any recommendation of brand for DRL or shop? If DIY, any tutorials mind to share?

Play music loudly. Better than DIY for the noise reduction. First of all, change your stock tyre to a quiet tyre.

If you don't speed over 110km/h, I guess it is not very noisy. Just as per normal, drive around 80-100km/h would be good bundle with musics, comfortable rides and save fuel.

By the way, tyre noise is much more annoying than wind noise, no matter what speed you drive, it will still produce. On the other side, wind noise is only heard obviously when you cruise above certain speed limit, do check if the windows are properly closed.

Only the driver side and left passenger side mirror don't comply to 70% VLT set by JPJ, just wind down your mirrors in case you met JPJ roadblock. I did double tint on my new alza, my 2nd row mirror is more than 50% dark and 3rd row mirror is about 90+% dark. So far so good on UV and heat resistance, JPJ is not that free to check one by one on the road unless yours tinted to less than 30% VLT or on all mirrors, then that would be suspicious for them to block you. Otherwise, if you really got blocked, can buy 4D and strike jackpot.

I used COOLGARD tinted. It really depends on your choice, pricing wise you need to compare across the market with the Quality of the tinted film. Just make sure you don't double tint your windshield mirror but you may add sun visor which is 100% dark. For normal UV the price range is like RM500-RM700+- with 75% IR which is good enough when combined with the llumar original tint. Total up should be around 80% IR but VLT sure not comply.
