You mean parking brake?

If that is the case probably the shoe has become thinner or he never brake hard enough to trigger the auto adjuster. Try to apply parking brake as much as you could, slowly floor the brake, then slowly release the brake. repeat this a few times while having the parking brake applied and engine started.

If it does not work then need to open up and service the rear brake.

Hi, yes.
Actually I drove my father's car to school every weekdays.
One day in neutral and parking brake applied.
Turned the steering wheel then the car move forward. At least I brake on time.

You mean press brake slowly and release it? Will try out one day.
Last week, I forgot to release Parking Brake and drive over until I hear the beep sound then only release brake. '
I sense that Parking Brake not working as it still moves while applied.

Thanks.

Hi, does anyone here know what's the size of the light bulb for clearance light? The small light.
Any link to buy. Got led type will do. White light will a bonus.

How to remove it from the fixture. I managed to take out by rotating 45 degrees and unable to take out.
Wish to fix new clearance light by myself. Ask the shop to fix quite expensive there.

Thanks.

I have been using osram T10 cool white for almost a year. so far good.
and night breaker unlimited for the main.
*
For the main one is what size? H4 or H7?

QUOTE(Kiefer @ Jun 26 2019, 09:23 AM)
the rear number plate is T10 too, but just aware that it may be a bit tight.. meaning that some LED can't fit due to  T10's bulb height.
*
Thanks for the info.

How about Personal Lights, Room Light and Luggage light?
T10 can fit into number plate?

Thanks.

for headlamp, the 2 low-high beams using H7.

for cabin front 2 personal light, i use t10.
for the middle one it is festoon, you can measure the length of the bulb first.. as I know some a shorter some longer.
for rear, it is festoon too.

for the number plate, I use T10, but it is short one where the LEDs are on top only, sides don't have leds. to be safe, best not to be longer than the normal T10 bulb.
*
Thanks bro. Appreciate your effort.

Low and high speed beam using the same bulb?

For the T10, I thought only have one length.
Cool white or Sky White is better?
Your car now using LED for everything?

The fog lamp is what size, forgot to ask.

Thanks.

low and high beam both are H7.

as bro Cleaner mentioned.. fog lamp is H3.

Not all using LED, only the small bulb in head lamp, cabin front T10 and mid cabin using the square one (which it has an adjustable festoon kaki connect to a 1.5cmx1.5cm leds board).  The rear boot still original.

I am not sure the 31mm can fit or not, possible smaller.  hope nanti i can check the ori bulb in rear boot.

Thanks for the info.
How to fix the T10 to number plate lights.
Quite difficult to fix.
Tried to exchange with clearance light, accidentally drop the bulb and broke it.
How to remove the broken bulb?

QUOTE(sl!mer @ Jun 27 2019, 08:33 AM)
using for low beam only. its brighter than stock. if needed have to adjust the projector down a bit.

Can see the road without fog lamp?
Will adjust down a bit.

for number plate bulb, hope i still recall correctly.  There should be a screw beside the lamp cover,  unscrew that, take that out, change bulb, put back and screw it back.
*as mentioned, I previously tried the 5 LEDs bulb, just too long, so the cover can't put back.

broken bulb in the clearance light.. that is inside the lamp...use a vacuum cleaner, take a rubber tube (maybe straw), tape it to the vacuum hose and suck it out.. I hope it is within the small light compartment.
*
Thanks for the advice. How do I remove without using vacuum?
We don't have battery operated vacuum.
Best to fix lamp with back door closed or open? I tried fixing back while the lamp facing straight to me. Difficult to fix. If the lamp holder at the top position will be easier.

QUOTE(Kiefer @ Jun 27 2019, 03:37 PM)
the H7 low/hi beam, just remove back cover, unplug the socket, un-do the clip that holds the bulb, take the bulb out straight (remember what is the position of the bulb), put new bulb with same position (if finger dirty due to grease / dirt) wash hand before you touch the new bulb leg), use tissue to hold it also can.  Put back, clip the holder back, plug the socket back then the back cover.  Check at night for alignment.

Normally I have the car facing the wall, use an indicator / tape, to get the original position of light beam. after new bulb changed, if the beams are good you are good, if distorted, then the bulb is place wrongly or not in right position.

on license plate, if can't put back cover, most likely your led bulb too long which block the cover.  just my hunch.  You compare side to side the normal bulb and the LED bulb.
*
Appreciate your effort.
So, your car Alza now without cover?

QUOTE(sl!mer @ Jun 27 2019, 03:58 PM)
Just follow Kiefer's guide.
do at night

no battery operated vacuum, can use the house one.  not sure if you have the home vacuum machine with long hose.  It just to take out or suck out the broken bulb/glass.
Else take out the whole lamp and shake it out, which is a lot of work. Else use "selo" tape with a stick and take out few times, but risk is high where the tape got stuck in there, lagi jialat.

The back door close or open. depends on your ways, whichever easier.  I recalled at some point, for better angle, I have the boot/back door open at certain level, but it will fall down and close, so I use a paper box with cloth (not to scratch anything) as a blocker.  Then squat down or sit on small chair and install it.

if you have a way to take it out, just reverse process to put back.

all covers are in place.  I never leave it open for water to splash in there and spoil the lamp and wet the internal.

I am using something similar to this type for the number plate lamp (just a reference)
T10 bulb sample

Oh, tried shaking it and it won't help. Cannot use selo method. The glass bulb cut my finger this morning.
Do Perodua have new spare part for the clearance light. The long black thing like replace whole fixture?
Tried using pliers until broke the black thing. The top position already.
I can use vacuum cleaner but I stay in condominium that's the main problem.

sorry to hear you got finger but, hope not serious...always careful when dealing with glass.

Now the long black 'socket' is broken.. wow...i am not sure how you tried to open it until it is broken.  this T10 shld be the easiest of all I presume.  Maybe it got stuck.
I know it is a pain in the axx when trying to do one thing, spoil another...

The long black socket, not sure if can find boh... else it is whole lamp.  Try ask spare part shop, else see if got 2nd hand one.
Your car under warranty?? what year?.. not sure if SC can close 1 eye to help.

ADD:  not sure if can close back the hole with broken socket, else use tape or something to cover it first to prevent water or dust to sip in.
*
The old type fully made of glass. I tried to break the glass by using pliers and accidentally cut the back thing that around the tip of the bulb.
My car already 5 years. One side spoil, I shouldn't left the lamp holder on top of the engine.
Wanna try can use. Fully plugged in but no light. Kept sweating until I gave up.

Thanks.

yes the old / ori bulb is glass made.  Just pull out straight.
Dont mind asking why you want to break the glass and using pliers?  maybe a picture of it right now..to see the condition, maybe can still revive it.

I use pliers because can break the glass. I thought the glass can broken easily but this kind of glass is different.
Using vacuum cleaner is not one of the option that I can use. I stay in condo. Park my car outside.

The connector is already stuck there. If I use hand, the glass will cut my fingers. This morning got bleed but very less only. Not that kind of serious. Now almost night. Can I send the picture tomorrow morning. Previously the clearance lamp that got stuck. Lamp faulty already. Wanna change to LED until I made a huge mistake today.

Might need to replace the whole black thing. I have made careless mistake of not handling the bulb properly.
I should fix back to its holder before testing out. I took one from number plate, tried fixing back, won't lit then exchange with the clearance lamp.
Accidentally drop, didn't place properly on the flat surface around the engine compartment.

Not only want to break the glass. I tried to use the pliers to pull the bulb from the connector but too tight.

Thanks.

Mmm. The bulb got stuck. Yes agreed with u if use bare fingers to pull out using overly force may break the glass...then our nails will be glass coated. Very shiny liao..hehe

No rush bro. We all trying to help via digital way

If not lit with new bulb, the possible the connector misaligned. Possible small little flat screwdriver may help to ply back.
As you see the bulb, regardless it is led or not, the wires at the kaki of the bulb are 1 side for each. Possible.
So it could misaligned that the bulb wire not touching the socket connector properly. My suspicion
*
Oh, I tried to to use a small negative screwdriver can break out everything.
I sweat very fast, tomorrow might to use a chair to sit and break out everything.
The top position broke out already. Just left the connector is stuck to the base.
Will post a picture tomorrow morning to show you. I'm afraid that will break everything and unusable.
Need to take out from another side to test out whether working or not. For the number plate light will fix OSRAM T10 Sky White.
Now plate number light one side no light. Any side will lit up or one side only. The plate number light need time to fix in.
If clearance lamp cannot lit up even with new bulb. Might need a replacement.
The Main Light change later, changed before, after changed worse than original stock bulb. The new bulb also halogen.
Not LED. Trying to fix myself, haizzz, damaged one stock.

Thanks.

The main light is lo beam right, that one have to align the bulb properly, becoz alza socket wrong placement also can lock in position.

The bulb socket marking must slot properly into holder

Appreciate that you help me so hard.

Will buy new T10 OSRAM Sky White to replace the number plate lights.
Exchange one of the number plate lights to one of the clearance lamp.
Will check again later need to tap the glass outside the lamp.

My surprise was that still can fix in and lock.
