today just DIY replace rear coil spring rubber mounting with diy style.

because the rubber mounting wear off and chipped off, left the coil spring knocking the axle steel creating tuk tuk tuk sound.

in order to take out the rear coil spring, need to dismantle the absorber also, so test test still ok la but gatal thought of changing it. tongue.gif

bought the garden hose "thick" version from local hardware shop.

insert into bottom coil spring creating an overlapping of 50mm.

Replaced my 10year old stock suspension to front and rear kayaba rs ultra and k flex spring . Feel much solid but still felt soft. Added silicon coil buffer after that.

oh, guess not too hard then.

lastime i've changed some gas absorber during oil absorber century.

too solid until not feeling any "absorber" nor spring, only feel solid knocking sound.

good for racing / cornering, not suitable for daily drive.

not comfort at all

for example Greber

hard rock cafe feel doh.gif

how many years or mileage of your alza? As I see mine still okay. Should check during my next alignment service.

hi sifus,

Sometimes, when i press the pedal hard like going for 4000-5000rpm, the engine sound very loud but the car wont go. sometimes it is okay. i wonder whats the problem. Engine getting noisier over time and slugging. recently changed injector & spark plug. still the same. And there is a weird sound, like water flowing in a pipe with trapped air. and air con kicks in with an unbearable mmmmm sound..

I presume your car is auto.

the car wont go even after pressing pedal but RPM up. Seems to be something wrong on the gearbox. have you tried change fluid and atf filter?

on the sound like water in AC when compressor kicks in, try get it for AC flush and refill with new gas+oil.

Hi. Need some help. Figured out that I probably need to change the boot latch. Making a buzz sound everytime I try and open it. Latch doesn't work at all. I can open most of the boot inside and remove the felt panel. I have removed the entire latch. However I can't figure out how to remove the plastic cover that houses the rear wiper mechanism. This just help with access to everything. Can anyone share how to open it?

Also could it NOT be that my latch needs replacing? I have WD40-ed the heck out of it and it's smoother but after connecting back all the bits it's still not working. Same buzz.

Thanks.

do u have a multi meter & spare 12v battery
use meter to test on wire connector first. should get 12v constant during unlock moment.

otherwise put a temporary wire from bateri to latch. listen if same trouble buzz u heard

Yes. It is improved when u have the rear brake check and clean. Previously check by mechanic, pad still good, so they clean everything in the drum too. a lot better.

Pls check yr brake fluid level and monitor it.
It could be leaking or fluid level is degrade and require replacement.
