plug in the adapter and its works up to the highest display resolution.

sound work, usb port also work. only apple isight didnt work coz dont have the driver. since im not gonna used it let it be.

the conclusion is yes you can use an adapter to use the apple led cinema display 27" with mini display port on a pc. just make sure you got the gc to handle it because i plug in to other system it cannot get to the highest resolution.

the thunderbolt display cannot work with this adapter.

so the question why the heck i want to use an apple led cinema display on a pc?

because i want to do stuff.
