1. D70 is slow for events
2. differences between D80 and D200 is minute. a. price difference b. D200 is weather sealed, D80 is not c. D200 uses CF card, D80 uses SD card d. D200 is bigger in size e. D200 has magnesium aloy, or is it aluminium aloy? D80 i believe, is hard plastic only i think that's it. i might miss out some though |

learning it with M.
study it first before going out to shoot blindy i dont see driving school teaching kids to drive in automatic only for them to purchase a manual car in the future. using P to learn is alright but you wouldn't understand the whole concept of exposure. |

it depends on what u are shooting.
i dont like the 17-55 f2.8 lens because it's too short. and i dont like using wide angle. so i opt for the 28-70 f2.8 lens instead. |

alamaklor, i think it's best if you get yourself a UV filter. it is not very much of it being a UV filter but a piece of glass that protect your rm 800 lens.
accidents do happen... if you knw what i mean |

i would say the D80 and the 30D are basically the same camera.
individual preference comes into play when deciding these 2 cameras. as for me personally, since i have been using nikon for the past 13 years... i will stick with nikon... and i started off the digital world with D100... so the lenses and the layout of buttons are familiar to me. |
