u have to go trial and error for the proportion pot .. just turn little by littlein 1 direction and see what are the changes
as for the gain .. its for the gyro sensitivity .. normally clockwise would increase sensitivity >> more sensitive to rotation motion and will try to counter it to stay in position (trying not to rotate)
however if your heli has lots of vibration then increasing the gain will make things worse most of the time

definition of wagging is high speed left right movements ..
if its a slow lazy type left or right movement .. we call it drifting .. in that case u can try to turn the gain higher ie. clockwise

Hi there, i am new to r/c helicopters. i bought v3 LAMA and i crashed it and broke the tail peice. been surfing the web and came across some EXTREME upgrades for this model. so if you guys can help where is the best place in KL to do these upgrades Grafiete tail peice, landing skids, body and canopy? and is it adviseble to do these upgrades.

thank you
*
the LAMA is a coaxial heli .. self stabilizing and there is nothing much u can learn from it besides orientation
if u think the extreme upgrades are worth it then go for it .. it prolly makes the heli look nicer .. handles maybe little better
and those extreme parts are not cheap at all .. google rc heli results from malaysia and u can get quite a number of heli sellers

i went there on the 19th but was out of stock. If im not mistaken, they quote me the 4G6 around rm11++ with 2801Pro TX. How much you planning to sell the guruZ FP? Is it hard to fly and config? =)
*
did i not mention u will NEED a RADIO and RECEIVER to fly the guruZ XEON FP ??
its much better to fly than a honeyBee coz its all separate components .. not all in 1 thing like honeyBee
pm me if u are interested still ..
radio + receiver set will cost u at least rm600 or so to buy NEW .. i not selling those .. hahaha

tq for the information... by the way what would be your recomendation for a beginer? i have never flown a r/c helicopter at all.
*
for beginners usually the LAMA or similar coaxials will get u hooked ... but those are sort of not up to rc heli level .. sorry to say

usually an FP which has much lower maintenance costs is adviced .. coz u will crash for sure
lesser parts to repair .. easier to set up .. and lower headspeed to minimise damage
honeyBee FP fits this perfectly .. except the radio that comes with it sucks .. and the 4n1 comtroller unit in the heli oso sucks .. its flyable and u can learn with it .. but the learning curve will be very difficult and hard ... this will lead to frustration and the feeling of wanting to give up
some ppl started with a CP like belt Cp (this one sucks big time) .. or other CPs .. Cps have higher headspeed .. more parts count and can be damaged easily .. therefore maintenance costs are quite high for beginners ..

so i would recommend .. FP helis for beginners >> honeyBee .. guruZ FP and other similar FPs
try not to go too small coz small is harder than big coz its highly sensitive and unstable compared to bigger ones .. hehehe

waaa ... still in biz but never reply a couple of sms that i sent him at all
what u order ?? 4G6 stuff ?? hehehe
1 thing u need to keep alot for the 4G6 is the feathering/rotor shaft .. the blades touch anything and that will be the 1st to bend coz so small and soft

yaa ... the best thing about this small little heli is MINIMUM damage
and its FAST and CAPABLE .. hahahaha

getting an ESKY might be a better option since parts are easier to obtain here .. mainly MAIN GEAR and BLADES most of the time

Added on January 25, 2010, 11:08 pmthe 4g6 is way way easier to fly compared to the 4g3 according to RCG ppl who has both .. HH gyro and pitch tail .. much better than the rate gyro and motor tail for sure ... not to mention heavier and more stable too

here are some pics of the XEON FP ..
canopy paint peeling off kow kow and cracked abit ... i using those fluoro paint for better visibility thats prolly why paint dont stick well
other than that .. heli is healthy as a cow

Although the parts is easy available for ESKY but during hard landing, it would have blade strike.... beside, i can use the lipo for both 4g6 and Lama2...
For the parts, uniquexme got some.... so it's alright...

I do believe that 4g6 will be easier to fly than 4g3.... my 4g6 will have some tail drifting... which i'll look into the vibration tonight....
Overall.. the heli is great.. if use my DSX7 Tx, even better...  thumbup.gif
*
tail drift abit quite common with the 4g6 .. afterall its a 4n1 and not a standalone gyro so performance will have limitation
but once u start FF and doing stuff for sure u will not notice the drift liau .. hover hover of coz can see the drift la .. hahaha

I guess I am addicted to rc heli now. I bought a cheap coaxial heli a few weeks back and now so exciting and planning to get a stable heli.

Probably I could afford for rc heli 1k below but I am from Penang and don't know where to get my toy ...... any idea?
*
your budget is just about enuff to get u the FP i just SOLD (pending funds transfer completion)
futaba 6ex or a dx6i brand new ... and about a rm400ish heli .. hehehehe

unfortunately anything else is way beyond rm1k or even 2k .. for the exception of a belt CP which i totally advise against unless u just wanna hover tongue.gif
the other alternative would be a king2/king3 which is IMO a much better heli .. except the tail boom is too small .. hahahaha
king2 is slightly smaller than the belt CP ... costs slightly less than the BCP .. cheaper batts
both using the stock radio which does not help at all ..
radio is one thing u cannot save on .. buy the best u can afford

slowly build up your stuff ..
start with a good radio ... this helps u do adjustments and tuning which u WILL appreciate
then look around for the heli of your choice

Hey, QiW

Where did you buy your 4g6? How much is that?
Can you do a stable hovering and 3D flight with it?
*
i dont have a 4G6 .... yet
i heard LHS here selling rm1k+ laa ... totally not suitable for u coz u can so far just fly the LAMA coaxial
if u get the 4G6 u will crashing until your tears dry laa ... repairs bills will be so sky high u will wished u never taken up this hobby ...

get a SIMULATOR 1st ... then practice in the SIM .. after u can hover well in the SIM then can consider the 4G6 .. CONSIDER ahh .... does not mean u can definitely fly it even after u can fly in the SIM ... hehehehe

and YES ... u can do 3D stuff with it IF u have the SKILLS laa

edited for surprise purpose .. hahaha
