Asked the SA today.

2 things can change outside Honda.

Battery and bulb.

I asked the hypothetical question. What if the bulb burn?

He say can change bulb. But no modification to electrical or wiring.

So... I guess no HID and subwoofer jor sad.gif

Retrofitting HID is illegal anyways...

In case anyone looking for boot tray, I bought mine from here. Good value, considering the original costs like RM100 more

Hi, just wondering if anyone replaced their wipers with silicone ones? Any recommendations? Trying to look for ribless/boneless ones but couldn't find anything online (locally)

I am thinking of just getting the refills (since its the cheapest option) but unsure if the regular refills would fit.

Thanks.

why do you want to replacE?
*
because silicone wipers are more durable and also gives the "rain-x like effect"

I've used silicon wipers before and its almost like regular wipers after it wears. Not gonna waste money on such wipers again. The current wipers on the Civic is quite good i must say. Anyway, we're all a long way away from replacing our wipers.

AFAIK..
PIAA stuffs other than the horns [ originals, not cheap either ] are super expensive.. lll bet itll cost more than the original..
*
Used PIAA silicone wipers on my wife's car and never changed for 5 years+. Now only showing signs that its deteriorating. Yes, its more expensive than original, but well worth the money IMHO

QUOTE(neotheone @ Aug 11 2016, 11:13 AM)
I use silicon wipers in my 2 previous cars. There are quite long lasting, 2 years in service and still work well.
The brand is duratech. You can check it out in 11street website also.

Cheers

Ok, will take a look. Thanks thumbup.gif

Sigh... can add me to the list of people with the rattling dashboard sound coming from the right side sad.gif

Also, anyone else having the following problems?

1) Strange sound when starting engine (sometimes only). Like some grinding sound

2) clicking sound coming from dashboard/instrument panel during low speeds (approx. 30-50km/h). Happens randomly. Similar to the clicking sound before autolock engages when speeding up.

I have the #1 problem too. I think this is the #5 current known issues as listed in page1 for this thread.
*
QUOTE(isr25 @ Aug 14 2016, 08:51 AM)
Quite normal on both issues. The clicking sound is the engine noise I think? The rough engine start sound is prevalent on all Civic TC engines on warm starts

With the new Honda Civic Hatchback is rumoured to be coming to Malaysia - and Thailand is producing it for their own country too -  are any of you regretting the purchase of your Honda Civic Sedan? I for one am not coz I like sedans better smile.gif

I think the sedan looks better but a hatchback should make accessing the boot a lot easier.

Wouldn't mind the more powerful engine though tongue.gif

I just finished installing the dashcam. I route the cables along the nooks and crannies of the car, similar to the video below. The wires are well hidden until the footwells of the passenger - no place to hide it anymore, so i just use the provided cable management hooks to make sure it's hidden.
*
I hid the extra length of cables behind the glove box. I think its the best place

Congrats to those got the new civic..

Seriously I am in dilemma to choose between pearl white and lunar silver....

I found lunar silver seem not attractive as pearl white do for this civic.. any comment?
*
If you are a person who is quite lazy to get your car washed regularly, I think silver would be the best choice.

I run the cables multiple times below the glove box. Need more cable clip to make it more secure. Do you know where to get more of those 3M Cable Clips blurjoey? Just updated the firmware to the latest 0805. Will see how it goes tomorrow.

Anyway, the Civic Hatchback Sports and Sports Touring will have slightly more HP. 180HP/220Nm vs our 174HP/220Nm. This is due to the "high-flow centre exhaust system". UK Civics will only have the 1.5TC engines which is the same as ours.
*
You can pop out the glove box and stick the cable behind. Bundle the cables with a cable tie and just use one cable clip to secure it to the back of the glove box

Excited. Getting my 1.5TCP tomorrow. Now scratch my head which tint to choose.  Raytech? Vkool? 3m?
*
I ended up using Vkool because:

1) quite happy with its performance in previous car

2) didn't like how raytech is so secretive about their prices and that you have to listen to them tell you how important it is to have a USA sourced tint film before they actually introduce their range of tint films

This Vkool may I know how many years for warranty
Bcoz I don't know its too expensive
The quotation was like 3K n above

Vkool HQ (PJ Sect 19)

Vkool Elite (front) + Window Shield 50 (sides and rear, though the rear is supposedly a thinner film)

RM2400. Got it through my SA. Though I think the Vkool rep in LYN can also get similar price.

I went for the first service just now. They said they settled the RHS rattling problem but after driving away less than 1km, I could still hear the rattling sound. Not so loud and a bit less frequent, but still there sweat.gif

Why isn't Llumar tint considered as well?

Used Llumar before. Somehow, felt that Vkool had better heat rejection. So went with Vkool
