The black box situation on how the queue work really sucks. Anyone else booked through Millennium Auto / Mofaz bandar utama? Just keep on hearingg wait, dunno when can get the car etc. Don't they have a queue and order system with HM?

HM only deals with the branch in term of allocation. Up to the branch to prioritize which customer to get first, I think.

I suspect dealers pay cash to get the car, Kah is interco where HM can only get the cash after loan for the buyer is disbursed.

This is why dealer can deliver car faster...anyone can correct me about this? Just my little theory.
*
This I heard also, they prefer banks that can directly pay HM rather than let the branch pays. But for the allocation and queue, it seems like the SA have no control on it and only the manager can decide. So my guess is that the internal politics etc will have an impact and therefore the total lack of transparency on the part of Millennium / MOFAZ.

I'm hoping more people can share their experience about this - at least those who haven't booked can choose a better branch.

Hi guys, need some advice on NCD transfer. I will trade in my 6 yrs old myvi. SA gave 3 options
1) top up insurance of myvi to transfer NCD to civic.
2) cancel myvi insurance and transfer ncd to civic. NO Insurance on myvi for few days. Very risky as I still hv to use the car.
3) Pay full civic insurance - NCD later when hand over car. Insurance co will refund ncd in abt 1 month. But not sure if the full 55% will be refunded.

I m thinking of option 1 since top up amt is very much less compared to ncd for civic. But do I get back the remaining premium pro rated later since myvi insurance still hv 5 months validity?
Is there any other option??
Thx!
*
Definitely Option 1. You can just top up the difference on the old Myvi since it will be cheaper than topping up Option 3. When you cancel the policy, just fill up the form with your bank details. The full premium (now that NCD withdrawn) will be refunded, pro-rated by the term remaining.

We should be getting Euro 4 RON95 fuel in a couple of years which isn't too far away to cause significant detriment to our car engines using current Euro 2 RON95 fuel. But in the meantime, I would strongly recommend BHP RON95. It's the best RON95 fuel in the market currently. Some batches of BHP's RON95 fuel was even tested to be only 12ppm which is almost Euro 5 standard.
*
Actually if they are averaging 131ppm vs 500ppm Euro2 spec, I would consider that is quite good. Too bad we don't have consumer or motoring association carrying out random sampling to inform us of the industry average.

I'm also a BHP user, unless its too out of the way. One nice thing about the bigger fuel tank and increase fuel efficiency of this car, now I can get by only fueling up over the weekends and dont have to fill up at other random stations

Hahaha..yup He  point out the FEATURES! Which is consider Positive unless its not working as intended.

But if he own the car its quite arrogant if someone said just sell it and don't come in this forum anymore if all what he did just make a complaint.

Reason for complaint so that many ppl will aware  so can highlight the issue n raise a complaint for betterment so that HONDA will step up to resolve this and in the end I believe it will benefit the user like us..

Read the original post again, it is really quite BRILLIANT!

It will fit, but your speedometer reading will be off.
*
Actually I found that on my stock 1.8s the speedometer seems to be off vs Waze by about 5kphs. Both around 110 and 120, on cruice control. I wonder if there's a setting to change that or needs recalibration during 1k service?

it's normal isn't it?
the speedometer always show 5-10kph higher than actual reading.
*
QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Aug 2 2016, 03:17 PM)
No car can be exact...if the speedometer is overstating the speed, that's normal (i think all factory stock cars are like that), usually within 5-8km/h. GPS itself is not really exact either, unless you go for military grade.

*
Thanks.. actually I'm expecting it to be closer. This is my first ride with a digital one. Previous analog ones doesnt allow close enough comparison. Most of the time I found our phone GPS apps tends to be closely correlated to each other, 1-2kph difference only. So seeing a systematic 5kph difference seems high. If its normal then its ok. Thanks.

QUOTE(urakei @ Aug 3 2016, 01:38 PM)

There's a post about the GPS speed vs meter speed is not the same. The reason behind is because of the UNECE requirement that requires manufacture to have display speed not less than true speed. With tolerance included they will design the display speed to show around +3 to +5km/h more than true speed. I know this because I was involved in meter cluster development.

You can check the source here.
*
Thanks! So apparently its a feature not a bug! Hahaha thumbup.gif very good to know that this is indeed an industry standard governed by global regulations. I did some auto components manufacturing and there's always some spec for everything. Thanks for sharing your subject matter knowledge

A pedal lock is also a good idea. The manufacturer's immobilizer is practically useless nowadays.
*
I know this have been asked before... can we just put any pedal lock on our Civic without compromising our remote engine start?
These day I think the collective knowledge here is much better than any SA we can find at any dealer

Yes, as long as the pedal lock is just installed for that - lock the brake pedal from being pressed. Some pedal locks has ignition cut off too, so to be able to use the remote engine start, don't install this function on the car.
*
QUOTE(sguy @ Aug 9 2016, 06:25 PM)
someone in this thread mentioned before, and Prop.Observer also mentioned that there is no problem with remote start after installed locktech, just need to unlock pedal lock after remote start in order to start the enjine.
*
Thanks both of you guys! Will get once and retire my old Kiki-type steering lock which doesnt actually fit the Civic steering

Anyone here installed the Cobra Connex car tracking package offered by HM? Do you mind explain what is it all about..
I know i can google it but let's have another meaningful discussion here
*
Its actually done by CSE Connex, if you order it, it will be installed by the Connex guys.

It is basically, to channel Star Trek Beyond, a tracking device for your beloved. You get 2 cards to be kept separately from your keyfob. If anyone drive the car with or without the key, as long as your Connex card is not there, it will trigger a theft alarm that is sent to the Command Centre, who will call you to check if it is you. They can put the car into theft mode and will work with the Polis directly to track and try to catch or recover the vehicle.

You also get a smartphone app to be able to track the car, set up either geofence as additional security or speed limit warning.

Of course if someone know what to look for they will be able to know if one is installed in the car. The good thing is disconnecting the thing will also trigger a disconnect alarm to alert the command center.

I think the fabric seat should be quite durable. No complaints from me. However, I wrap the door panels and centre armrest with leather. As for the steering wheel, I like the softness of the leather.
*
Bro, can you let us know which shop that your SA help did the leather wrapping for the door panels and armrest? Would like to get it done also. Thanks
