Finally, my car is out from workshop. Under cloudy environment this is how it looks like. I like how the wrap can bring out all the body line and high contrast.

Guys, I really do not feel any difference in driving experience when using the ECON mode. I don't even pick up any drop in acceleration power or whatever. Are we even sure the ECON mode is working?

BMW has a similar mode called Eco Pro. When I engage it, there is a significant drop in power. I have to practically floor the pedal to get a boost in power while in that mode. Totally opposite of the ECON mode.
*
bro.. you a heavy footed driver?

my 2 sen on the honda Econ mode.

when you accelerate especially light throttle (on vs off).

1. the "gear" will try to upshift sooner vs Econ off.
2. the pedal response does not feel as instant or numb.. and actually feels a little hesitant to get off the line.
3. throttle response is better with econ off and more willing to "hold gear" when you accelerate, let off the throttle and accelerate again. while with econ.. once you let off the throttle u need to shove the pedal to get it going again.

econ on or off... its the way we drive that makes a difference to FC.

i on econ mode so that the aircon is not so cold in the mornings and evenings.. weekend baru off econ..

i have tried the econ modes on contis and i know where your coming from.. with your econ pro it feels like your stepping on a marshmellow.

Changed low beam to Philips diamond vision today

Looks good but HU went wonky for a bit. Couldn't engage reverse camera. Restarted HU and all is fine

Will share poison later

Looking forward to your views and photos. If I get this car, I am still contemplating either bulbs or a conversion kit
*
racun sudah mari....

sorry TC-Ps tongue.gif

anyways heres my unprofessional review of the philips diamond vision 5k.

1. Kinda regret buying 5k bulbs cuz i wanted something that has better range.. this don't shine far enough.
2. this bulb is not bright enough. brightly lid places and you won't see much light.
3. kesimpulan - this light is only for the "yengness"

if i were to choose again i'd buy whitevision 4.1k.. which is supposed to shine further and gives a more OEM HID look.

but anyways.. enjoy.

*
Asked the SA today.

2 things can change outside Honda.

Battery and bulb.

I asked the hypothetical question. What if the bulb burn?

He say can change bulb. But no modification to electrical or wiring.

So... I guess no HID and subwoofer jor sad.gif

Nice! Yea, I might just change the bulbs instead of full HID. Either that or retrofit a full LED headlamp next time. The bulb sizes for the low beam are H11 correct?
*
low and high beam also H11

i recommend philips whitevision. got good white and don't have to scare JPJ kacau.

guys... one thing u guys will be interested in.

i got my warranty booklet today and SA advised that they will provide "engine Cleaner" during your free services but only if you keep to the schedule.

i guess they realized about the euro2/4 petrol issue and are trying to mitigate it.

cybermaster98 you most pro with all these tech stuff. got 2 sen?

*

don't know if should leave the car on or not...

Just wondering if the reason they give engine cleaner is to reduce the carbon in the engine because of our fuel?

Also.

I spotted engine oil brand is Petronas syntium.

Will pumping Petronas petrol be any benefits?

I dunno I'm noob to all these.

Wow after read all the complaints and defect
i was like is it really a HONDA?

Normally i didnt care much but the problem is my Wife already set a sight on this TC-P and as a dutiful and lovingly husband will try to commit what she like/want.. hahaha..  and I'm probably gonna end up as one of the victim here ... sigh.

But I believe and Hope the current owner will have the solution as soon as possible.

I don't usually read forums unless I have issues. I speak from experience. I have all the marquee above & few more. very minor issues that I can just close my eyes & forget about it.
*
i bought a honda cuz i gave up on my ford's DSG. 4.5 years driving it and no remedy.

and i have all of the above at home too ! =p but tbh the merz doesn't give alot of headaches compared to alot of other cars ive driven.

i know some ppl swear by those brands but i happen to be that unlucky customer who got stuck with a lemon (Ford).

another colleague who drove the exact same model had no issues for the past 3 years she's been driving it.

agreed minor issues ie. rattling, squeaking, fittings not good doesn't break a good car.

having to wake up in the mornings and "hope" you can get to work without the gearbox overheating is stressful.

i did contemplate alot when buying a turbo because i wanted something reliable initially.. but a global car with very isolated incidents of mechanical failures seemed like Honda knew what they are doing. pun the local QC.
