I hope I post in the right section. This issue has been almost 2 weeks, Steam server just located in Singapore but it seems our connectivity been routed from Malaysia to Hong Kong then to Singapore?

Usually I got 40ms to 55ms but nowadays keep getting 80ms to 100ms.

Its depends on which ip range you getting. They may have different routing & latency. I checked with 4 different unifi lines in 4 different locations, 3 getting 40+ms & 1 getting 70+ms pings.

Unfortunately I am subscribing Streamyx 1Mbps, which having locked down IP range. Last 3 weeks I was getting very good routing connectivity until this happened like 2 weeks ago.

You've tried turning off your modem/router for few secs then turning them back on? I would do that whenever my routing becomes like yours. Based on luck too, sometimes once or twice, sometimes more.
*
Been doing that since 2003, more than 10 years. blush.gif

QUOTE(winter01942 @ Jul 19 2016, 12:51 PM)
recently like that too, but I'm not sure if its a global thing because all of my friends on Unifi are having same high ping issues too
*
It is definitely the routing issue, PingPlotter will give you the answer if you try to trace Valve server using that tool.

QUOTE(jio @ Jul 19 2016, 02:28 PM)
No lar. It's shitty TM routing. Ping from time broadband to valve sg server is about 10ms only. Even when VPN from unifi to time to valve also about 25ms only.
*
I tried at my friend house who is having Unifi 30Mbps, to Valve servers based in Singapore normally getting 18ms to 25ms. While Streamyx with ADSL2+, 45ms to 60ms. Streamyx with G.dmt, 65ms to 85ms.

These are the normal condition figures that I recorded so far.

Thank you for your sharing.

But I found that two links, one created in 2013 and another one stated 1 year ago.

PingPlotter does show something is wrong with the routing, our connection does not directly connecting to SG interchange server.

As of today condition, please find the attachment.

As of today, same issue. Ranging from 70ms to higher latency when connecting Valve servers in Singapore. I tried community server based on other provider in Singapore surprisingly getting around 45ms. The main issue is our ISP routing to Valve servers in Singapore.

[attachmentid=7161321]

Connection toward Guild Wars 2 located in US, usually I got 280ms to 320ms, but now slightly higher due to "busy" traffic reason.

My conversation with TM in Facebook, they are the same with our present Government, keep twisting and denied truth. Dear TM, your so called World Class support.

If you willing to build fiber optic cable to my house? Promote your service in such wrong way, blacklisted.

On normal days, my unifi 30mbps when playing csgo MM is around 39-50ms, but some server usually is 70-85ms. Tbh, 0% packet loss and lower than 100ms i would worry about it. It is still optimum performance. Besides, no matter what you do, they ain't gonna change their routing and in the end, you will be the only one stress and feeling mad.
*
It cannot be, your test was taken on and since when? I tested my friend's Unifi 30Mbps like 2 months ago, it was ranging from 15ms to 30ms with 0% packet loss.

Probably because my state is Sabah so its further away from the server. But 50% of my matches i get 70-85ms. I am a FTTH user btw.

Use PingPlotter and that will helps to trace the routing.

Until to date, TM still keep asking me whether is it working fine.

How to describe their service? Disgusting and unprofessional.

Hi bro, I feel you  sad.gif

I am an Unifi user, normally my Dota ping is 25-50, but since Sunday the ping jump to 70-100 causing my game lag like shit.

I am not sure whether this is game server or TM problem. But it seems like similar to yours.

It is affecting the entire Malaysian gamer who connecting to Valve servers in Singapore. Even Thailand gamer getting lower latency than us.

I raised complaint through CFM. Yesterday TM contractor contacted me and I have explained him that there is nothing wrong with the copper wire outside or inside my house, but the actual problem is with the main interchange server.

Today I received two calls, also spoke to the supervisor of the TM branch in my area. They claimed that the report had been submitted to KL main branch for investigation. Few hours later they contacted me again claimed that the technician over KL site did something on the connection toward Valve servers in Singapore, requested me to test again at home today.

To anyone of you, please try it now and post your PingPlotter graph here.

Thank you for pursuing this. I will try it tonight. FYI, in my complaint with TM two days ago, I have showed them URL of this thread for their reference.

Have been using mobile data to play Dota for almost one month. Hopefully this can be solved once and for all.
*
Awesome. If yours does not resolve, please complain via CFM. The more complaint they receive, they will get fine probably just like Maxis, Digi and other ISP.

For my case, I always getting IP 203. Now they seem to be put me under Public IP, now I am getting hell a lot better latency and I am happy.

My ping from 60 drop to 20. Lag problem has been reduced but it still happens. And still experiencing constant packet loss (pls see attachment).

What about you? I really don't know what is the real issue. It has been like this for 1 month and some other Unifi dota players do not have this problem.

So far 0 loss, latency ranging around 32ms to 50ms in Dota 2.

Streamyx 1Mbps FTW.
