Any owners of the current forester here? Care to comment on your new ride? Am thinking of getting the 2.0 I-p

I help u simplify to few words

Pros: tough, rugged, capable, safe
Cons: not as comfy as competitors

How about FC?

When you say not comfy as compared to competitors, which competitor? Cx5? Xtrail? Crv?
*
Crv
Interior and comfort also lose to crv
But all other things win
Exterior, off road, high speed, corner, rain, snow, mud, even safety
That is my almost 30 min test drive of forester tell me, vs the crv my cousin has
Fc tak tahu but cars of these size fc wont be good, and the difference wont be too much between brands, unless u got the latest diesel cx5, then the diesel cx5 fc will win all other brands, the torque also very high
However malaysia's perception towards diesel not so good

Hi guys

Im proud owner of subaru xv but now im feeling a little bit of pening kepala.

Got my xv before raya, very careful handling it but today i got bump from behind at roundbout melawati s.alam.. So stress man

Keep cool n talk to the young girl behind, before that i see her playing with her phone, n suddenly bang she hit me.

Ok i cut the story short, then i go to ipd s.alam togther with her, lodged a police report because i want to claim on her insurance, pity on her too because she is student. My bumper got kemik n clip maybe broken, then sti rear facelift bengkok. I think the bumper one set should replace with the sti rear facelift.

Ok now guys, i need ur help,
1. Where i should send my car for repair that damage

2. How about the costing for that

3. and the procedure to claim her insurance.

Thanks guys, all i want is my xv back to normal again with original part..

Thanks again
*

What actually happened to tuned engine? I saw a lot of XV owners did that at AE. Does it increase the performance?

And does it void the engine warranty?

Also what is a 'remap'?

Thanks.
*
Donno bout tuning but i did full piping change without tuning, from extractor to catback, when i service i ask him warranty he say change what void what only wo
Changing to catless extractor and pipes without tuning actually increase reasonable amount of hp already from dyno

No catalytic converter means harmful to the environment....?
*
Cat con going to be less effective after 2 years anyway
The active material will degrade, it will clogged, and no one would change it to new catalytic converter because it is too expensive
So it doesnt really matter much

hi subaruian,

just received my 2015 xv sport last month, was eyeing the forester... too bad no extra $ to  moneyflies.gif  moneyflies.gif  moneyflies.gif

here are some feedback:

- the driver side power window 'one push/pull' do not work, have to hold on pushing or pulling. one forumer said there are 2 steps of push/pull, tried but didn't work as well  icon_question.gif

*
My side mirror only gained the auto up and down function after first service
Before service i pull hard hard also no auto up
I never even mention during service and they fix it themselves

Didn't you consider the Forester for your budget?
Wow! Two Subaru at home. You have both of them installed with original strut bay?

Forester was my 1st choice of Subaru, was eyeing for the basic model of Forester at rm123k, too bad...no $ for it, thus, opted a 2015 XV instead.
*
I believe when he buy xv that time there is only forester xt at 200k

Between XV 2.0i-P and Forester 2.0i-P, which one is much worth it? The price difference is just 20k, based on Subaru MY website
*
If want to drive fast and still get acceptable handling, XV
If want top safety and real off road capabilty, forester

Basically xv is a car with very high ground clearance
Handles like a car, size like a car, without the need to worry about bumps, potholes and low flood

Forester is a true suv, a very tough and rugged car, it handles better than other suv but you wont get car like handling, good for speed up to 150kmh maybe
(Exceptional is the forester ts that suv is really fast as hell even around corners)

Hi there.  I'm getting xv this weekend. I'm planning to get the steering lock stoplock brand. Do you happens to know which stoplock should I get? With the airbag or with the airbag design? For example Honda city uses without airbag design even the car has steering air bag.
*
If you dont want to mess with airbags
Then get pedal lock la
