QUOTE(Henry T @ Jun 26 2020, 02:37 PM) Cooling coil is leaking. Got to replace. How much ya for the replacement?I have the same experience. My XV is having the same mileage as yours. QUOTE(kevin613 @ Jun 26 2020, 09:16 PM) check if there is refrigerant loss first before jumping to conclusion and replace the coil. No, it is actually the left side of the mid-vent. Still those middle vents. may just need a service to make it cold again. its possible for the middle vents to be colder than the side vents cause the coil is right there in the middle, and the cold air dont have to travel in the long pipe to reach the side vents(and losing some coldness in the process) |

QUOTE(frankzane @ Jun 30 2020, 01:42 PM) How much ya for the replacement? I did it at a nearby workshop during the MCO at RM 1200. Anyway MI only warranty the air-con for three years. My car was already 4.5 years at that time. |

QUOTE(anzen600 @ Jun 27 2020, 04:36 PM) Where is KV? Actually what part MI want to charge you to change? A lot of mechanic also can do Subaru cars nowadays, common spare parts also can be source via road side spare part shop and online platform like Lazada or Shoppee. |

QUOTE(frankzane @ Jun 30 2020, 02:42 PM) How much ya for the replacement? Been telling about it quite a few times here. Around 5xx for China/Thailand OEM cooling coil, while original Japan almost near RM1k. No, it is actually the left side of the mid-vent. Still those middle vents. Anyway as per kevin feedback do go check if it is just the refrigerent is low and maybe just some service and refill gas can settle the issue. If they claim got leak, ask them to put a pressure gauge and pump some gas pressure in it. If the pressure gauge keep on dropping means got leak. |

Ok thanks. I wondered if leak can be due to rust as I like to wash the coil during car wash. Because I know sometimes got dead bugs trapped in the coil.Anyway as per kevin feedback do go check if it is just the refrigerent is low and maybe just some service and refill gas can settle the issue. QUOTE(frankzane @ Jul 3 2020, 05:04 PM) Wow and thanks! Just get a professional to check it out... If leak mostly is cooling coil if haven serviced before.. If unlucky the condenser in front can also damage if hit by stone chips..Ok thanks. I wondered if leak can be due to rust as I like to wash the coil during car wash. Guys, My SUbaru XV 2.0i-p 2018 are facing problem right now. These 2 days, when i start the car early in the morning (I didnt use the car after 8pm), when i shift my gear to D or R n release the electronic parking brake, the car wont move. I have to press the gas pedal KUAT, the it will making a quite loud sound ( like u force open something which is stuck), then only the car will move, after that everything is like normal. Anyone facing this problem before? Anyone know what is the problem? Thanks in advance

Have you tried releasing the parking brake first before shifting the D or R. It seems like the release of parking brake was not detected. |

QUOTE(maskmanz @ Jul 13 2020, 10:59 AM) Gonna try it tonight. If the parking brake really got problem like what u mentioned, do I need to send my car to service center to repair it? you should.. cause if you drive with it stucked, then it will wear out your parking brake shoe.for older cars usually just need to dismantle the rear brakes to clean up, maybe too dusty inside. not very sure how they fix it for epb. |

By the way, my wife told me that everytime when i shift gear, the sound is quite loud. She can heard 'kiak kiak' sound outside the car. Is it normal?
