Actually any ordinary batteries can be used in this m3, if you don't care the i-stop.

Would like to know more on this:
1) What's the harm of using normal battery?
2) If I change the battery to normal type, how does this affect warranty of other parts?

Hey guys, where do you get your battery? Other than SC

What battery brand is available, which one is good/average/bad?

Looking for maintenance-free one

I'm looking for my Mazda2 actually. I figured you guys might know good deals somewhere, battery spec is the same anyway.

You got a shop or you dealt directly with supplier?

It needs to have something feeded into it by replacing certain scripts or changing its values. I looked at the coding before. Not sure what counts for not touching the firmware but doesn't really matter to me. I use the same thing you do except I did not pay for that app and got it for free in the forum. You don't have to have the script permanently in the USB, it is a one time thing. If you didn't have the USB with the script plugged in after the first time you did it, it will still work. If I am not wrong, if you keep it in, every time you start your car you are basically re-feeding the script again (I may be wrong). But glad it works fine for you!

You can just tell your service center about that (the kurk kruk etc). It's a known issue and they have solutions for it.

Where did he put his codes on? Github? Thats on c++ or js?

Why need to pay for the app when he provides link for full version download on his website?

Is there a list of tried and tested HUD firmware version?

This bold statement said everytime driving we need to turn it off? so what is the purpose to have this function at the first place?this really a joke right. We save fuel today and that save portion will invest back to buy a battery. doh.gif

istop only make sense in cold country where the battery will be turned off for longer duration such that the fuel saved is significant. Also, in country where fuel is expensive

Thanks for your reply but they don't have Bosch EFB. Managed to find out that this is sold by Dynabond Battery, Puchong.

Interesting. If they move to torsion beam, then it's very likely M2 and M6 will do the same too.
