The best to compare is always compare against other available models in MALAYSIA, as we're in Malaysia. That's more Apple to Apple.
Yes, we would love to have Europe / Japan spec, but perhaps there's reasons why those specs are not available here. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 30 2017, 01:20 PM) Please share what are these reasons why we can't have Japanese & European specs? I would genuinely like to know.. Not teasing or being sarcastic here. Benchmarking in a country's economics. *Manufacturing plant? Got. *Materials for better build quality? Got *Qualified technicians, engineers, etc? Got *Brains to operate the full I-activsense suite? Got *Repair stations? Got *Car price? Got. Perhaps even higher due to taxes, bla bla. *Poorer currency? Can't use that as an excuse as the same trend happened when the RM was stronger.. Now, it's weaker, prices are even higher and we still don't have full specs. Take dynamic cruise control as an example. Why can't we have such? Is it like a weather or road condition thing that makes Malaysia unfavorable.. I would like to know as the reason I have at the moment is that not adding in the full suite saves cost of manufacturing the car or political. Full disclaimer: This isn't just applicable to Mazda's cars, I'm non-malaysian and an have an appreciation for the zoom zoom drive. Also, more gadgets mean higher costs. If we all research online on all comments during launches there're a lot of people that cannot be satisfied. If a car included this & that, the price goes higher, negative comments appear and say should take out this & that. Vice versa. I'm not with the distributor, but I believe their product planning & marketing knows what's right / wrong for Malaysia market. |

Malaysians don't buy car for their specs & proven specs.
Most of them buy due to brand & discounts. |

QUOTE(konchy @ May 2 2017, 08:53 AM) If follow Malaysian mentality on discounts, maybe have to raise price by another RM 5k, and a few times a year give RM5k discounts to make Malaysians feel like they got a good deal. Can't be helped as getting a GOOD DEAL is the main priority. Getting bad service, non responsive SE doesn't seem to be a problem as long as the deal is good.I think the Mazda 3s are really good value for their money. At around RM 110k, it already has 6 airbags, rear seats can be folded down (unlike Honda Civic), and does not use a CVT (unlike Altis and Civic). There already a number of CVT issues popping up on Honda and Toyota forums internationally. Furthermore, its norm that Good Service = Good Discount nowadays (irrespective of the SE service quality, responsiveness, resourcefulness) ... its a sad state at the moment for Car Sales Exec. |

QUOTE(peace_lover @ May 2 2017, 09:45 AM) talking about this, Mazda sales agent really not bother about getting sales, reluctant to approach customer, or maybe because I am wearing short pants with t-shirt? Lots of new Sales Exec nowadays are actually just order takers, and not the professional Car Sales exec.luckily I've made appoitment in advance, or else I will be lost in setia city mall and no one bother to guide me to the test drive counter at SCCC. There is no signboards also guiding ppl from the mall to test drive counter. Not very well organised. having said that, after sales service is important, I hope I will not have problem with Mazda after sales service. I'm guessing in future, selling cars would be maybe like Air Asia. No Frills. Tick what you want for extra cost or Tick what you don't want for extra discounts. |

All GVC Mazda3 will be delivering around 3rd-4th week of this month.
Book early to avoid any disappointment, as stocks are limited. For those who want without GVC (cheaper by a 10k++), there's limited stocks of GLS (Highspec) Alum & GL (Mid Spec) Grey / White left |
