Not sure the warranty policy on the new model.

But for the 1st gen Skyactiv Mazda3, battery warranty term has now changed to 1 year or 20k km, whichever comes first.
Free maintenance, basically is on servicing only.. Take note, this car is come with kruk kruk and ngek ngek sound package as well. hahaha laugh.gif

that's the lower arm issue?
every car has it or depend on the driver driving behavior?

Most likely everyone will encounter this issue. It's the part defect. However, there are members who claimed the noise are gone after parts replacement. It takes time to allow "them" to present to you..

Me, yes. Kluk kluk is from bump stopper, or absorber mounting (appear during first month of ownership). Problem resolved after bump stopper replacement. Ngek ngek only appears when rainy days (appears on 9th month of ownership), where the lower arm bushes joint got wet and when you go over speed bumps, it will creates ngek ngek noise due to the friction / movement.
*
the ngek ngek can be solved?

I see, glad that it's not a problem that cannot be solve or service centre don't bother to solve like some SC for other brand out there.

I didn't have the kruk-kruk sound but I have the ngek-ngek sound when going over bumps when it rains. As it only happens when the road is wet I didn't bother to get it fixed.
*
how long is your ownership?
the ngek ngek sound only happen during rains? happen or not after car wash?

Coming to 2 years. Only happens when the lower arms are wet AND when you go over speed traps. Small matter but Mazda owners make a big issue of it because there isn't much else to complain.
*
should be the wet rubber that generate the ngek ngek sound.
no big deal to me also, maybe some grease can solve it.

*

trade in is not suggested due to shop always chop the consumer. hahaha..

Like what Ginny88 suggest, maybe announce at the group, and see who is interested.

However, been asking tire shops about trading in.. But under what condition they will likely to take in? It's when you are going to purchase sport rim from them.  laugh.gif

Trade in price can be ranging 500 - 1000 depending on your rims condition. But take note, endup you will still need to fork out RM 1.5k +- for new rims..
*
500-1000 including rubber? or rim only?

Can't be helped as getting a GOOD DEAL is the main priority. Getting bad service, non responsive SE doesn't seem to be a problem as long as the deal is good.

Furthermore, its norm that Good Service = Good Discount nowadays (irrespective of the SE service quality, responsiveness, resourcefulness) ... its a sad state at the moment for Car Sales Exec.
*
talking about this, Mazda sales agent really not bother about getting sales, reluctant to approach customer, or maybe because I am wearing short pants with t-shirt?

luckily I've made appoitment in advance, or else I will be lost in setia city mall and no one bother to guide me to the test drive counter at SCCC. There is no signboards also guiding ppl from the mall to test drive counter. Not very well organised.

having said that, after sales service is important, I hope I will not have problem with Mazda after sales service.

Lots of new Sales Exec nowadays are actually just order takers, and not the professional Car Sales exec.

I'm guessing in future, selling cars would be maybe like Air Asia. No Frills. Tick what you want for extra cost or Tick what you don't want for extra discounts.
*
they really need to buck up their knowledge and service level.

it will be great if Mazda can provide something like that for customer to choose what they want in their car.

most of the sales people dont know what they talking about, nowadays there are tons of reviews and walkthrough in youtube for most of the car models, we can get most of the info from there

i visit showroom just to have an actual feel, dont bother with those explanation from them, actually they wont bother to attend to me in the first place laugh.gif which is a good thing for me since i can take my own sweet time without them annoying me
*
true, but I am expecting at least they will say something like: Mr you can have a look around and please look for me if you have any question. smile.gif

My meaning of dressing up myself is as follow

2. Shorts / Bermudas
3. Slippers

a good question, i just found an article
i believe it is sort like a "software tweak" that used to enhance the handling by reducing the wheel torque when turns. this is interesting, time to read  brows.gif
https://www.extremetech.com/extreme/230819-...a-better-driver
*
ok, this will answer to some of the questions asked here.

"While it’s a software enhancement to the Mazda SkyActiv engine control module, there are also subtle tweaks to the suspension and steering"

I just came back from test driving Mazda 3 old and new FL and I got to say. Mazda drives the best....compared to new civic, though civic beats Mazda 3 in cabin space, and tech... But it feels like sampan when taking corners. Something which Mazda 3 is so good in. 99k for 2016 sure is tempting.

Though I did test drive ioniq too... Smaller car but the tech was wow. Also got good offer o  test drive car for sale at 95k...decisions decisions.
*
I beg your pardon.. Civic beats M3 in what kind of tech? android auto and apple carplay? other than that nothing else that I can think of. haha.

safety feature is important, but android auto or car play is also an extra feature that bring convenient.  haha

actually android auto and apple carplay is not only for convenient, it's part of the safety feature.
as you are can use the voice control like siri or google assistant instead of holding your phone and text while driving.

Phone also can use do it without them ma.. Previously there is tweaks for to install Android Auto on MZD. Useless I would say, Google maps is still not that good compare to Waze. Endup I uninstall the android auto, place the phone on the phone holder, use as it.. lagi best...

To text or not to text while driving, it's all up to the driver. Even you have the android auto or carplay, one would still will plays the phone if he / she has the will to do it..
Honestly, if you're looking for a comfort, spacious ride, just go with the Civic.. The Mazda is only good for people who really appreciates the driving dynamic, the fun to drive. You will hate the tyre noise when speeding, the poorly insulated cabin will just always kena ejek by your passenger if they mean to compare with other car...  laugh.gif

And "why your car so small one~" hahaha...

oh by the way, go test drive the new Mazda with GVC.. Given the same course, same condition during test drive at Setia Alam, the difference in handling between the 3 and Civic really blows me away...  flex.gif
*
agree, still waze is the best so far. therefore Bluetooth connection will be good. unless waze can be installed at the HU itself then lain cerita.

yup, the test drive given me the confident to book M3 on the spot.

Yea, you're right.
I never try civic but honestly Mazda 3 is good for 2 person ride or 4. And the trunk is really not that big, 2 big luggage and that's it. Anyhow still love my M3 as it's really fun to drive.

Seriously you can feel the different on G vectoring? Man, wish that I could go and feel it myself.
*
you can definitely feel the different if you are a driver.
30km/h into corner, M3 with GVC is comfortable and you have the confident to go further, in the civic I was like "walau", my wife sitting behind and her head bang the windows. doh.gif

Does the noise really improved a lot compared to the pre facelift M3 high spec?
*
To me even the pre facelift version not really that serious for the noise. The GVC version is quiet.

Mean got much more improvement compare to previous version??
*
What I meant is the quietness is very subjective to each individual, it may be much more to me but little bit only to the other guy, better test it out yourself.
