I tried both the Mazda 3 GVC and Civic 1.8 at SACC

Sure Mazda Interior still felt better especially that knob at the gear level is particularly useful, but civic gave a much more spacious feeling. Backseats space totally can't compare.

Mazda3 center console is nicer, Civic instrumental cluster is nicer. I didn't adjust the head up display in Mazda3 so the viewing angle is odd for me during test drive.

Mazda 3 with GVC does makes a different during drive. It gives you more confidence in handling the car.

The only reason I'm interested in Mazda3 this time around is because they have High Spec Hatchback, before facelift they only have hatchback same price with sedan but with less equipment. Now hatchback is priced higher than sedan but with same high spec equipment.

Mazda 3 GL vs Civic 1.8s : I would go for Civic

Mazda 3 High Spec/Hatchback vs Civic 1.5tc/tc-p : Comes down to preference, I like the hatchback because you will definitely see less on the road compare to Civic. Was told hatchback now got stock available in aluminum silver and meteor grey.

I think these are worth consider if you are choosing between old and new Mazda 3.

Hi peeps! Just got my mazda 3 GL pre facelift last week.Fc is 8.5l/100km. Pretty good for a 2.0 city drive. However, My friend also owns a M3. He says the FC will improve after few thousand km. is it true? I laughed when i first heard it. 😅😅😅 sorry im a newbie..

Does the noise really improved a lot compared to the pre facelift M3 high spec?

To me even the pre facelift version not really that serious for the noise. The GVC version is quiet.

What I meant is the quietness is very subjective to each individual, it may be much more to me but little bit only to the other guy, better test it out yourself.

For me no difference between the first tank and a few thousand km later. Modern cars don't have an engine breaking in period.

mine initially is 8.5l/100 or 9l/100, after a while now it was able to maintain less than 8.0L/100, not sure is it because of my driving behavior changed or i dropped my tires pressure from 40 psi to 37 psi

i usually avoid those Taman road and kampung road as well as traffic jam that require frequent stop and go

Actually you'll get better fuel consumption with higher tyre pressure. Maybe your driving style became more sedate tongue.gif
