I think you can ask any shop in the town. The price is almost standard.

I'd done this before at Fotokem. They charged me RM0.50/strip exclude CD. If you develop there, then the 36 shots film is consider 1 strip.

Quality wise ??? rclxub.gif

Er, did they use a normal scanner or a specialised film scanner??
Specialised film slide/negative scanners have built-in macro lenses that are capable to resolve details in the slide/negative well-enough for it to be reproduced later as film up till 8R size (or bigger).
Normal document scanners may not be able to do that.

I usually go to Ampang Park, first floor, where processing a color negative roll and scanning to CD is RM10. They can fit up to 3 rolls on one CD. Any cheaper places?

Oops, 1 roll + scan + CD = RM10.

3 rolls + scan + CD = RM30.

Of course, I hate having so many CDs lying around, so I ask them to fit as much as possible on one CD.

Why don't yo try HP or Canon flat-bed scanner with capability of scanning film and slide. Generally, they are cheaper. The price is somewhere RM400 and above. But forgotten the model.

Bump Thread.

Also Wanna ask which place around Puchong,Subang Jaya, Sunway, can do Film-to-CD cheaply?

I went to Summit USJ, the Kodak Photo shop at the ground floor (facing the center concourse, where the stage is)

RM 8 CD+RM 5 processing fee= RM 13

I think we have to wash the negatives first before we scan the film strips right? THis one requires a professional job+right chemicals.

But I would agree that after washing the negatives, then you can scan.
