Its only RM1060 at Shashinki, pretty sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere http://shashinki.com/shop/sigma-mount-conv...ia-p-28474.html

Bro, why you wanna jump into Canon?
*
My first and second DSLR were Nikons. Then I started shooting weddings, jumped over to Canon soon after. Canon is more suitable for fast paced working environment, whereas Nikon is more suitable for a controlled environment where you can take your own time. Jumped over to A7II when it released for its more compact and versatile features.

Currently using A7ii from Canon 6D with bunch of Canon lenses as well...

Thinking to go D750  blush.gif
*
With Sony and Canon its easy to do 1 hand operation for most of the settings, most importantly shutter, aperture, ISO, compensation but with Nikon it has to be 2 hands. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the button layout is still the same with D750.

I use the Sigma MC-11, everything is good as long as you don't try to AF while shooting video. Viltrox hit and miss, I probably got a lemon copy.

Thanks for advice. I am entry level DSLR user currently, wanted to upgrade to FF. I was looking at A7II previously,
but was worry about the AF ability and the Mega Pixel is just 24 (my current camera has the same MP).
Thus, i started to looking upward for A7r ii which has massive double up MP and fast AF, but the price really.....
Thats why i still holding my gun. Hope can get some advice from true user here.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Sep 24 2016, 02:08 PM)
Well for one thing, 24MP on APSC and FF is two different things really. And the A7II AF is nowhere what I would consider as bad... though the A7RII is undeniably better in pure technical terms.

I mean, what do you plan to do with 48MP? Print billboards?

Of course, if you wanna use all that extra MP for cropping down than its understandable. But those extra MPs still come with a very, very steep premium.

BTW, which DSLR did you come from? Keep in mind that pure "mirror-ed" DSLRs generally still have better AF than mirrorless. As good as the A7RII's AF might be, it might not be as big of a jump forward as you might initially expect.
*
He's right. Unless you're actually printing, photos on Facebook are generally only at 2MP or less (due to compression and user idiocy). Megapixel does not matter for 90% (or more) even to photographers as long as they don't print. However if your intention is to do extreme cropping, A7R2 is the way to go however I would also recommend less cropping and just frame right tongue.gif

IMHO FE55 1.8 is not worth the money for people who don't generate money out of their photography. Just go for the cheaper FE50 1.8. For a little more cash you can go for Sigma MC-11 + used Canon 50 1.2L which is far superior for my use case (wedding, events & street photography).

Sony mirrorless is SLOW & CLUNKY compared to any DSLR out there. If weight and size weren't a concern I would've sticked with my 5DM3 for working.

Focus peaking still not as great in the A7. Prefer the high pass filter with Ricoh cameras.

Image quality wise there shouldn't be any difference between mirrorless and SLR, it is just about the utility and usability of it.

I haven't used the Sony FE35 1.4 but the Sigma ART 35 1.4 suffers from focus hesitation compared to any Canon L glass. Again, this depends on use case but for my overall usage, the Sigma is shown to have slight focus lock hesitation compared to most lenses.

The Sony FE35 1.4 can be made smaller but I guess their design philosophy is sharpness across the frame? Look at Voigtlander's 35 1.4, much smaller right (esp diameter)? Fitting AF motor in it wouldn't make it anywhere as big as the FE35 1.4.

In the end, gear is almost irrelevant to the result you produce. Cheers.

You can just bring it to service center or directly to the authorized workshop and let them fix any thing, no question asked.

Seems giving personal opinion on Sony thread for a valid point makes one a fanboy
maybe should throw away my other brand camera & lenses d
anyhow
a question for those shooting video(for a7 series)
there are different in resolution on the screen at normal times and during video mode (shooting and at video dial mode).

while taking photos, in manual focus
zooming in is easy to help focus

but during shooting video or in video dial mode
the resolution seems to lower (only during zooming in)
when zooming in, it is not as good as in photo mode.
having tested this on a7 a7r a7ii a7s a6000

apart from using external screen & recorder.
is there any settings that i missed or any fix?
*peeking helps but in certain lighting needed to zoom in to be sure
*
Not entirely sure what you're asking but if I understand correctly when you're shooting photo you're zooming into a 24MP preview while video is just a 2MP preview.

Recently bought some Ikea LADDA batteries to test them out, yielded pretty good result at their price point. A pack of AA costs only AU$8.99. Ikea Malaysia sells them for RM49.90.

I tested 2 parameters for the batteries, 1st the time it takes to cycle my flash(first 3 shots using fresh batteries) and 2nd how many full power flash it can do before flatlining.

I did the same using my Eneloop XXX which are 4 years old at roughly 100 recharge cycle.

Gears used for the test:
Sony A7II + Sony HVL-F43M

Prices listed are at the time of review.

Here we have the Ikea LADDA, rated at 1.2V 2450mAh.

Ikea LADDA AA Time to Cycle Total # of Flash
AU$8.99 1.8s 397
RM49.90 1.9s

Then we have the Eneloop XXX which is rated at 1.2V min 2400mAh. Also take note that these batteries are roughly 4 years old with 100 recharge recycle in its belt.

They are made in Japan and has been widely speculated as rebranded Eneloop Pros.
