QUOTE(Silverfire @ Dec 6 2016, 08:59 PM) Tried getting a copy of the receipt from shop? If you've registered online then it should be fine. If local distro refuse to service you can always elevate the matter to Zeiss International by contacting them directly. If cannot get a copy from the shop, Zeiss International will still service for me? btw i cant ask my friends to help me send right, since the warranty for zeiss lenses are non transferable. This post has been edited by BlizzardCraft: Dec 6 2016, 09:07 PM |

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Dec 6 2016, 09:20 PM) Can't answer those for you but you can ask Zeiss directly on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/zeissgroup/?fref=ts They actually do reply. I don't think it matters who send it in as long as the lens have a valid warranty. Just tell them you already registered online but lost the receipt. See what they say. Okay thanks yea. Will drop them a pm Btw wanna ask about the batia 25mm f2, is the lens QC good ? Will it have issues of numerous bad copies like the sonyzeiss 35 1.4? |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Dec 6 2016, 11:00 PM) It shouldn't. Most QC issues only really happen to Sony-manufactured lenses. Usually the others are *usually* exempt... though lemons do appear from any brand. Okay thanks buying 2nd hand lens or even first hand, other than checking the expected lens IQ , skewing of lens, soft areas . is there any other stuff to check for ? Put aside the physical condition of it. |

QUOTE(vincetee06 @ Dec 6 2016, 11:16 PM) deciding between brand new rm5.2k , almost 1 yr used 2 yr warranty left rm4.7k, and grey set used ( no warranty ) rm4k with a rm150 filter. currently i own a 1635 and 55. decided not to get the 85 cuz 55 is somewhat similar. thinking about getting a 25mm or 28mm as a wider walk around lens which provides good bokeh compared to the bulkier 1635. QUOTE(Eiraku @ Dec 7 2016, 01:22 AM) QC issues of these are usually related to decentring. All four corners need to be of *equivalent* sharpness. Thanks for the tip Eiraku Btw need advice from you guys.Brick wall shots help much here: Take a shot of a even brick wall at f8 with flash, then flip the camera 180 degrees and take another. Compare the corners. The normal shot and the flipped shot should have similar sharpness in all four corners. Otherwise it's just normal check for fungi, check for AF motors if they're fully functional, check the coatings... and you should be fine. Having hard time deciding between 2 used batis 25mm ,one having around 2yr+ warranty left going for 4600 and one more cost rm3900 grey set no warranty. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Dec 7 2016, 06:15 PM) 500 for 2 years warranty? Of course get warranty one lol. If the difference is more like 1k then only can consider a set without warranty. IMHO anyway. Erm rm700 like that bah. Cuz the later is rm4000 with a rodenstock filter.Hard decision for me >< its like half half between 500 and 1k haha. QUOTE(Silverfire @ May 21 2018, 12:49 PM) Are you shooting with silent shutter? Try turning off e-front curtain too to use mechanical shutter only. oky i try and reproduce and see... cz i hear people say its a rare phenomenon... and first month i use alr kena.. but with 85mm f1.8 sony lah, the most susceptible lensI updated mine to 1.01 once I got it, no issue so far |
