yeah man. 100m is much more option and cheaper. but i opt for 14-24mm sigma instead of the tamron 17-28 to cover my usage.  sweat.gif
gotta save up and hope for B.Friday sales....

cheapest i saw for 150mm is from Benro.

I'm not a wide angle person. Throughout my entire career as photographer, I've never shot anything wider than a 35mm for pretty shots. Anything wider like say 14-24mm range for me are for coverage, so using the 24mm to try and churn out good looking pics is quite a challenge for me.

The lens itself is great, sharp end to end, great dynamic range and colours. I think the lens is on the heavy side but that's just me coming from lightweight lenses such as the FE35 1.8, FE55 1.8, FE85 1.8 but as you know the FE24GM is one of the lightest 24 F1.4 around. Build quality is plastic outer shell, can't detect any metal through touch. Is it worth the price? If you shoot 24 a lot or if you like 24 or you just wanna collect GM lenses. Any one of those reason to good enough to get it.

why not easy to use?  hmm.gif

A lot of nice places to shoot, street and landscape also great.
Thanks!
Searched a lot of places of interest, then visit there and find out.
Curious though, what you think about that lens?

Sure!!

Pro
-Lightweight
-Eye focus (not continuous tracking)
-Can use phone as remote shutter (need to install Sony Imaging Edge app)
-Can transfer photo from camera to phone through Bluetooth/NFC (need to install Sony Imaging Edge app if not mistaken)

Con
-30 min limit for taking video
-Up to 1080P for taking video
-Easy to get overheat message if taking video in ambient temperature more than 30 degree Celsius
-No in body stabilizer (if use OSS lens then should not be an issue here)

I would suggest to go with A6100 instead if you got the budget.

A6000 is plenty good for budget users. Image quality is not much difference. Only the features missing e.g. Eye detect, touchscreen and flippy is missing.

If going for A6100 better consider A6400 since the price between those two ain't much and A6400 has wayyyyy better features.

For comparison. A6000 is rm2.1k, A6100 is around RM3.5k and and A6400 is around RM3.7 or RM3.8k (probably cause older so u can find it cheaper than new a6100) based on my search.

There are many techniques to shoot day-night timelapse. Here 2 of the one i tried and prefer #2.

1) Google holy grail timelapse
* shoot photo, RAW recommended
* manually change the exposure when time change
* compile in LR timelapse and it will deflicker & smoothen the exposure for timelapse video

2) my personal quick setting
Set camera dial to M - manual mode
* set widest aperture
* set shutter thats suits need (explain below)
* auto ISO (only iso is variable)
* shoot RAW / export video

Shutter* : if to include motion blur.
I usually set shutter of 1/10 to 1/50s.
Pair with ND filter

Aperture : wide open
* so that aperture does not open and close that would lead to flickering
* good lens wont notice much image quality loss, especially when export to timelapse
From 24MP to 1080p (equivalent to 2MP) , even 4k is only 8MP.
* best to have more light in when enter night time.

Built in timelapse feature nowadays are really good, especially on mirrorless.
I notice very minimal flicker now.
Rather than the dslr era.

Plenty good to use, still have it as my second body after 4 years of use and moved to A7m3.
Plus there's often sales make it worth too.

Some are my friends so it's collaborative works, while others are clients so I charge a small fee for the sessions.

Some more travel series at Japan:
