QUOTE(remix2040 @ Dec 28 2016, 08:15 AM) Nice bro. Any lens suggestions? Native lens best grab should be the FE35 F2.8 and FE50 F1.8. I personally don't use any Sony lens

QUOTE(remix2040 @ Dec 28 2016, 04:27 PM) she broke up with me lol but when we broke up she still had my lens. and when i wanted it back, she realized that she still had it so she deliberately break it before returning it to me. haha we both students saja. Doubt she would pay also. Granted that she's pretty loaded, I still doubt that she'd pay me for it. She still has my Canon camera that she doesnt wanna give back. lol? What the flippin' f? So girls breaking camera gears stories are real one Oh yeah regarding your zoom lens question, I can't really answer you. I'm not a zoom guy, never owned a zoom lens since I learnt about primes. Sigma 35 Art is great but weight and size This post has been edited by Silverfire: Dec 28 2016, 04:54 PM

QUOTE(vincetee06 @ Jan 10 2017, 11:43 AM) I heard A Lens with LA-EA4, will lost a lot of focus mode in A7 series. I wonder the Eye AF will work or not... I got a studio friend using 135mm F/1.8 ZA with A7S, the IQ and Sharpness is really godlike when i saw those pic in FB. Gonna make a date to his studio to try out, but before that, i wanna do some homework 1st. Thinking to get this lens as my street portrait and studio portrait shoot... The 1 good reason that convinced me to look at this lens is this focal length might replace my hesitation between 85GM or 70-200f/4. 135 is a lot longer than 85 and 70-200 definitely can't be replaced by either 85 or 135 and vice versa. Prime lenses are great when you know what you're gonna shoot and how you're gonna use their focal length to get what you want. If you have no idea what length you're really into, I suggest you buy a used 70-200, play with it for awhile then go from there.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 11 2017, 11:11 PM) And while we're on that subject: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Light *trailing* with smartphone. Kinda like the effect, maybe will try it out on other things next time I'm over there. And yes, I'm so very thankful my return trip was with a Zipshot. I'm probably eternally cursed to hang around Fushimi Inari at night, this time at least I have more freedom to frame shots. 2 light source? QUOTE(DK82 @ Jan 16 2017, 12:41 PM) Sifu sifu sekalian, Just got myself a a5100, and I'm enjoying the euphoria of owning my first camera. I intend to shoot XAVC S 1080-60p, which needs a minimum 64GB SDXC class 3 UHS-I card. Then I read this page: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2471951,00.aspI know this means upping my budget from the initial RM1xx (the 95MB/s one) to RM4xx (The 280MB/s) - in fact intially I wanted to save money and get Extreme Plus (80MBps). But this is just one page I read so far, and I don't quite understand how 95MBps headroom can bottleneck the supposed requirement of just 50MBps bitrate of XAVC S. So anyone tried and confirmed what the writer said, and if the 95MBps version is rubbish for taking XAVC S footage? Thanks! 95mBps card worked fine on my A7II so not sure what's the issue.

QUOTE(kvotnet @ Feb 24 2017, 01:45 PM) thanks bro. the adapter working good for sony A7 or A6500? with auto focus all? It works for all Canon and Sigma lenses. All features available to Sigma EF mount lenses. Video features and face tracking do not/may not work for Canon EF lenses but for photographic AF/metering it works fine.

QUOTE(Loseeker @ Mar 9 2017, 11:15 PM) So, bro. How do you rate their service? I just got a msg from the SC saying that my a6000 is ready to be picked up. Consider the fact that it has to be posted to K.L. to be fixed.....2 weeks from the day I sent in, to get it back is relatively quick. But I'm a bit nervous....hopefully, the hotshoe is fixed... I'm on the same boat, looking for a 50mm for bokehlocious portrait.....can u tell me why are you regretting the 50mm f1.8 OSS before u received it ? I'm guessing 50 1.8 is boring

QUOTE(Loseeker @ Apr 16 2017, 01:51 PM) Ha ha, let me guess, you are viewing it from your tablet/smartphone right? That's why it appeared to you the dark hair is blending into dark hall. The hall was actually quite well lighted. It was shot at high shuttle speed to achieve that effect. And yes, the kit lens has it limitation. As regards the distortion you mentioned.....i dont see it. By the way, the 55mm should be translated to around 85mm full frame equivalent focal length which shouldnt have distortion. No, viewing it from a calibrated monitor. The hair is separated from the background but for viewing pleasure the hair does seem to blend into the dark background. And yes, the ghostly faces in the background doesn't help. Also, 55mm is 55mm regardless of the crop factor you use. It has the same perspective, just cropped. So 55mm cannot have the perspective of a 85mm lens regardless of sensor size. Say I shoot a medium format 85mm, its actually 47mm after factoring the crop factor but I still get a very straight and distortion free, wider view than most ppl who shoot 50mm can get. QUOTE(ooiwaysean @ Apr 17 2017, 04:48 PM) Has anyone here tried FE 28mm F2 on Sony A7 series body? Thinking to sell of my Sigma 24mm Art lens for this due to the weight and sharpness. The FE28F2 is a great nifty lens for its affordable price. Unfortunately the optical quality is just not there (if you compare it to any Sigma latest Art lens or other more premium lenses). Highlights easily blown and occasional boring colours. Distortion is pretty heavy but it is automatically corrected electronically on cam itself. AF is slow and hunts quite a bit in dark situations. QUOTE(Benefon @ Apr 28 2017, 08:23 AM) Does manual lens can't work in A6000? Yesterday try to mount without Nikon adapter to nex. But A6k message please try to re-attached the lens mount. For my A7ii don't have it an issue. Sorry the A6k just bought yesterday only. Hope to it weekend got more time to play around with A6k. Did you enable shutter release without lens?
