2500K - very strong orange tungsten light 2800K - strong orange tungsten light 3200K - yellowish tungsten light 4500K M6- flourescent light (most flourescent tubes are green even though our eyes don't see it) 5500K - flash 6500K - daylight (or daylight-balanced flourescent light) 9900K - strong blue stage lighting or evening light
Xenon lighting is rare but that should be between 7000-9000K.
Whenever you enter a new situation that has different WB, just set your Kelvin WB again and test with one shot. You should be able to do this with practice.
With the Sony A300/A350/A450/A500/A550/A560/A580/A33/A35/A37/A55/A57/A65/A77/A99/NEX-3/NEX-C3/NEX-F3/NEX-5/NEX-5N/NEX-5R/NEX-6/NEX-7, you can use Live View and see the effect of changing Kelvin WB... live!
M = Magenta G = Green 2500K = Blue 9900K = Amber
Take a picture. Supposing the picture is very Green, you need to add the opposite which is Magenta. If the picture is too Blue you need to go closer to Amber. So if the picture is very blue-green-ish, you will need to go closer to 9900K M9.

Definition of:
Trigger off-camera: To send an encoded pulse of light via a mounted flash or pop-up flash, to an off-camera flash that understands this signal. This does not include radio triggers in the equation.
CTRL+, also known as CTRL1: The wireless signal sent by the F43, F58 and F60, which supports the ability to set the power for 3 groups - CTRL (the flash on camera itself), RMT (the first off-camera group) and RMT2 (the second off-camera group). The F42 can be set to be in the RMT group but not the RMT2 group. The F43, F58 and F60 can be set to be in either the RMT or RMT2 group.
Note that the F36 and F56 do not support this protocol and will not flash.
Off-camera flashes that support CTRL+/CTRL1: F42, F43, F58, F60 On-camera flashes that can send CTRL+/CTRL1: F43, F58, F60
CTRL, also known as CTRL2: The older wireless signal sent by all Sony Alpha pop-up flashes. The F20, F43, F58 and F60 can be mounted on the A37, A57, A65, A77, A99, A850 and A900 to send the CTRL/CTRL2 signal, as well. The A700 can use the F43, F58 and F60 on camera to send a CTRL1 signal, but not the CTRL2 signal.
Off-camera flashes that support CTRL/CTRL2: F36, F42, F43, F56, F58, F60 On-camera flashes that can send CTRL/CTRL2 on the A37, A57, A65, A77, A99, A850 and A900: F20, F43, F58, F60

Removing Pop-Up Flash Effect In Wireless Flash Mode:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
To prevent the built-in flash from appearing in pictures when in wireless flash mode, you can use any of these methods, or a combination of them:
- use a darker aperture (e.g. F11) - use a lower ISO (e.g. ISO100) - use a shutter speed faster than your flash sync speed so that High Speed Sync is activated (e.g. 1/320th of a second) - use a piece of exposed, developed negative film in front of your pop-up flash

Upgrading of firmware is a risky procedure; do it with utmost care and attention: When performing the firmware upgrade, please use a fully charged rechargeable battery pack NP-FW50 or the AC adaptor AC-PW20 (sold separately).
Do not remove the battery or AC adaptor during the upgrade; otherwise, the camera may become inoperable due to the sudden power shutdown.
Remove the memory card from the camera beforehand.
When using an A-mount lens with the LA-EA2 Mount Adaptor (sold separately) and setting to use the AF Micro Adj. function, the registered value is reset
I see. I should visit LYP to do a lil price survey first.
I'm looking forward to getting a A6000 with a SEL35F18 lens since I already have a SELP1650 and a SEL1855
When you go to Sony center, you should ask them for cash price. They have to display the expensive price because of Sony's requirement. You might be surprised with what they can offer you (very good discount) sometimes. However, that is not applicable to EVERY Sony center. This is what I got from the manager of Sony Center in Sibu, Sarawak.
New Version yah ? I rike

Lol.. Thread closed seconds after I post something.. >__<
Anyways, regarding my question..
Anyone know where can repair an old NEX-3N microphone and is the A6000 worth paying for since its a 2 year old camera that cost RM2399..
yes its still worth it, not the age issue, but the replacement, A6300, cost 5K for the body, so 2399 still worthy, and since a6k has near to zero flaw camera... unless you Need 4k video on the A6300 else A6k is the prefect rounded camera.

ever since the first generation of NEX, the 16mp sensor has provided a very decent usable 1600/3200 iso. anything more is just extra. the color, wb is also very accurate even vs later camera like 5d3, 6d which i used to shoot milkyway with me that result is diff white balance detection in every shot.
here is from nex3, jpeg and stitch over 30 images.
