Hi sifus and pros. I use my NEX-3N mostly for photography and recently started shooting videos with it. One thing I noticed is that the sound of the video only came from the left side. The sound from the right side is very soft and distorted. I tried playing videos from YouTube and sound plays on both channel so it's not my PC's fault. Right?. I called Sony and they insisted on me sending the camera in for diagnostic with RM40 charge for first stage diagnostic and RM100+ charge for second stage diagnostic. When I asked them for an estimate price for the repair if the mic is indeed faulty, they told me it cost RM600. Anyone know where to repair camera with a more affordable price or any possible DIY fix for this problem?. Thanks in advance This post has been edited by LightningChan: Jul 17 2016, 11:59 PM

Getting Started

Not an NEX-3N user, but probably you can try workaround by plugging in an external mic (or earphones) instead and see if that works.
My 2 cents... RM600 sounds like can easily shop for good external mic and most likely your video will sound better than using built-in mics...

The only input are USB multiport and mini HDMI. I'm looking to get a Zoom external audio recorder soon.. Thanks nways
