I heard news they just retrenched 300 staffs. anyone knows if this rumors is true? really sad to hear this.

Finally quit civil construction after a year, now going into design office for transmission tower specialist to brush up my steel design skills. While doing part time masters in Cfd. If the industry still in slump, ill force my way through by being a lecturer. Haha. sayang nak abandon OnG as a career choice. Drpd kecik berangan nak design platform, fpso etc dah beso blm dapat lg. The engineering is just too cool for me to give up. Childish reasons, i know, but i never aged haha

MMC Corp Bhd is disposing of wholly-owned MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn Bhd for RM50 million in its bid to focus on its core businesses.

MMC said the buyer is Melati Pertiwi Sdn Bhd.

MMC Oil & Gas provides professional engineering services to the oil and gas industry.

MMC expects to have a one-off gain on disposal of RM16.5 million from the proposed disposal. The proceeds would be used for working capital purposes.
