QUOTE(mrlolo @ Oct 17 2016, 11:28 PM) Hey guys, mind if I ask. Ada sesape pernah kerja dengan Oceaneering kat Jalan Raja Chulan? I've seen at LinkedIn most of people there working as Asset Intergrity (Project involved less towards ROV) word going around that their jobstreet linkedin job offers are just to collect cv. haha.So the question is apa roll for people working there? Just supporting unit? (since I've seen most of them participate project by Statoil and etc.) How is the working environment there (Since it is US Based company)? I've read somewhere the pay is not that bad (Before the O&G market slump maybe?) If someone used to work there or know someone working there, mind to share Thanks in advance i was also curious |

QUOTE PETALING JAYA: TH Heavy Engineering Bhd (THHE) will extend its fullest cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission in its investigation relating to its former chief executive officer, who left the company on June 30 last year. “The company is committed to supporting any effort to enhance transparency, accountability, integrity and ethical business practice as key features of its good corporate governance. “Considering that the matter is the subject of an ongoing investigation, we will not be making any further comment for now. Nevertheless, we will continue to provide our fullest cooperation to the authorities to enable them to carry out a detailed and thorough investigation,” said THHE in a statement yesterday. |

QUOTE(DuFfz @ Nov 28 2016, 08:24 PM) Is it allowed to cam whore or taking selfie at offshore installation as well as on shore ones? I noticed Digi's group of ladies posting on insta / FB all the time. quite common actually. Just apply for PTW if you're not in the safe zone.Normal cameras are somewhat alot more accepted these days, but not mobile phones. Depending on the OIM / Company Man / CSR, they can impose extra precaution like tape over your flash (in case you forget to turn it off), wear a vest of special color (only those wearing that vest is able to take pics, for easy identification by others in the platform). some platforms with some controversial news, etc before will not allow photos at all. Posting on social media is not encouraged, but it is somehow widely done. My biggest concern for social media (and why i prefer a social media blackout) is incase any emergencies / accidents, it's not good for photos to spread without proper explanation of the context. Imagine families seeing it on social media before any news from the company. |

QUOTE(IVL @ Dec 8 2016, 08:22 PM) preferably with offshore experience.QUOTE(mzain @ Dec 8 2016, 11:42 AM) can i know what kind of engineers the managers are looking? what is the requirement and for which company? there's a few slots to fill in, and some projects do require / recommend a % of Sabahan or Sarawakian (depending where the project is). Preferably discipline engineers with offshore experience. it could be the company i'm working for, or friends I have asking in other companies. QUOTE(kabuto12 @ Dec 8 2016, 06:04 AM) Easier to find experienced Sarawakian engineers than Sabahans somehow. |

QUOTE(saiga @ Dec 19 2016, 12:30 PM) Guys, it is best to find out the market rate at that location. Direct conversion will not work because you have to consider many things such as taxes, benefits provided to you, etcAppreciate if you can give me some advice. Summary from me; Last week I got CV request from one of O&G company in Canada thru LinkedIn. After submitting my CV, they contacted me and want to do online interview. However, they never specified actual job position as according to them based on information in my CV, I'm suitable for few positions. My concern is they asked me to get back to them with my expected salary I tried browsing few online job portals in Canada but unable to make up my mind. How much do you think I should request? It is OK if I just convert the sign from RM to $? Thanks in advance |

there are also contracts that specifically mention that contractor to come out with professionally produced video of the whole project from beginning to end. that's why we do see drones out at sea to take photos and videos these days.
