Ok,

A bit of backstory: I've realised that buying a modded system was a mistake pretty much from the moment I started the x360 up the first time. Now I'm making amends and am moving the modded one along, and replacing it with an unmodded one.

There will be an overlap, when I have both systems in hand in one place. Now, I've racked up some save games in my modded system, and that's more than a few good hours of time there. So the questions are:

1) Can these saved games on a modded system be used on an unmodded system, if I go and buy the original games?

2) How to transfer the files across? Using the Ethernet cable?

3) Or, given that the mod is a firmware thing, can I just swap HDDs?

And yeah, from now on it'll all be originals smile.gif

Swap HDD. Yup.

Btw, there's no "official" way of copying over data, other than to use a Memory Card.

The "unofficial" way is to get some of the attachments from Datel.

since topic was already created, i would like to ask

can i use the memory card to bring profile + save games to another xbox

and then bring it back

this is the case for me when i go to friends place for a split screen game

if i do so, i can keep my xbox at home , bring memory card over, play , save , bring it back and overwrite my 120gb hard disk at home

would that work... technically yes, anyone else tried b4?

gamer profile did not allow u to copy. but allow you to move it to another location. so i guess, u move it to ur memory card, then after get back home, move back to hdd.

I do this all the time
As long as you move your profile and save game to your memory card, there is no issue.
There are certain save games/arcade games that only allow you to move and not copy as well, just move it.

Cheers smile.gif

I make use of Arcade set internal memory as a media. Take 1 HDD that I wish to backup, duplicate all the save files into Arcade internal memory. Then, remove the HDD, and plug in the new HDD which I would like my files to be transferred to. Then, duplicate the files from internal memory to the new HDD. And all my files have been transferred. smile.gif
