PS3 price slashed by 20% in Japan!, Due to slow sales - Others to follow?

Well, good for those waiting. Sony priced it according to what other BD players were priced, and it bit them in their behinds. After all, if they priced it waaay below pricetags of other manufacturers own BD players, they would feel cheated and pull out of the BDA.

Bluray movies are not limited, they are readily available through physical retailers and online retailers like Amazon. I've been to Harvey Norman in Australia and retail chains in Germany, they started selling Blurays already. In fact , Sony had installed promo kiosks with LCD TVs to showcase Blurays there. It is the lack of MUST-HAVE movie titles that doesnt entice consumers to adopt the technology just yet.
