tks all for replying.
my budget is less than rm600. found out that the alpine one costs rm850. had no idea these active subwoofers cost so much. i hv space issue, the only place to put subwoofer is under the front seat. the 4 stock speaker holes are only 4" which i've put in 4 units of 4" alpine 2-way speakers. sounds ok but short of bass. any other cheaper alternative? i'm new to ICE. |

Driving a Renault Kangoo. need to carry things and ppl occassionally therefore, having a big box with sub woofer is not an option and don't want to cut up a new car.

QUOTE(syd04 @ Jan 23 2007, 06:56 PM) hi howiechoo, what's a bandpass? is his box for underseat? my car is manual therefore having an arm rest box is not convenient. tks a bandpass will filter the HF and the LF. A normal box will only have HF filter, acoustic suspension (seal) or base reflex (ported). It's super hard to tune a bandpass, i don't recommend that unless u get a pro who know how to do that, which i doubt there are any here because 99% of the ppl here either do a ported or sealed box.Pro: u get better bass in the bandpass frequency Cons: frequency cut off below the bandpass frequency you might want to try out the alpine active sub something like this http://www.incarnow.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=85 |

So u can drive 1 channel per woofer.brand is very subjective, u want head bang boom boom boom or nice sound quality bass ? |

im using MBQ (NOT MB Quart) active subwoofer.
built like a tank, i doubt anyone would survive if i throw this on someone's head but cant really play it loud. maybe it need a good setting, need to find someone who good at it. good for those who want to save space, and not big fan of those heart beating bass sound. it looks cool, place it under the seat, low profile This post has been edited by ghoster: Oct 30 2009, 11:10 PM |
