Hi guys, I am 151cm which means I'm 4 feet 9. I am planning to buy a FZ150i but am afraid it is too high for me. I'd still like to get a FZ150i. Was wondering if there are any ways to work around this issue such as lowering the forks or maybe getting a lower custom seat.

Your kind suggestion is appreciated! icon_question.gif

Try find motorcycle which is not too heavy for you. If you customize FZ150i but can't handle well then the problem still not solve

FZ150i when fully loaded with petrol is Top front heavy, not sure with your height can handle it or not.

I would suggest Kapchai or Automatic scooter 150cc and below for you as most of the weight distribute evenly under the seat.

she's a racer for mini gp/bikes lol...

in all seriousness, there's always ways to work around height issues, and i've known riders who are around your height or even slightly shorter than you are.
there's always seat height/thickness adjustment/replacement, fork height, method to tilt the bike/tip toe (you'll need decent amount of strength to prevent a fall though) so on and so forth

most importantly, regardless if you're short or not, if you're a new rider, do practice lifting the bike back up after you purposely lay it on the ground. you can use matress/newspaper and stuff to prevent damage/scratches.

Kapchai will be a bit high for him

Better get easy rider cruiser. Low seat height.

Should be okay once you master certain technique. Plenty on YouTube. I'm just slightly taller than you but I can ride ER6N, Z650, MT-09 well.

Daily ride? Traffic jam....tight car park where you have to put your feet down?

Please don't as it might upset the bike geometry and change the ride & handling characteristic. sweat.gif

Use to daily ride 'tall bike (seat height 790mm - 820mm), but now on Rebel as daily ride. Very low seat height... 690mm only. thumbup.gif

Traffic jam not an issue as you're still riding at low speed. That's why one of B full test have that 'titi' test. It's meant for low speed ride. When stopping, I stop with one feet only. The other on the foot peg as shown on the video.

With practice, all be good. thumbup.gif
