Hi,
I've recently purchased a condo unit from the developer. At the time of purchase I made the choice to use the developer's panel lawyer to execute the S&P. However, I now wish to engage my own lawyer. I'm just wondering if it's possible to do this and how I would go about doing it?
Thanks in advance!

QUOTE(gcmischief @ Jul 13 2016, 07:08 PM) Hi, I've recently purchased a condo unit from the developer. However, if you have executed the sale and purchase agreement then don't bother already because cancellation and withdrawal is going to be a mess and plus, the developer may not allow you to do so. Is the sale and purchase agreement in Schedule H? If it is then it won't really make a difference if you are using the developer's solicitors or your own because everything is there is "standard" and non-negotiable. You are probably going to waste your money because usually developer will bear the solicitors fee if you use their panel solicitors. In any event, if you still insist to appoint your own solicitor in this transaction then don't go into an extensive bargain with the solicitor.
