Dear /k

Anyone here know how much will it cost for an mri scan in a private hospital?

Today went to see a physiotherapist and was recommended to go for mri scan. Doc suspected partial torn on the acl. Walking sometimes can be painful.

Any suggestions for hospitals and share the cost range? Tq.

This.... go get another opinion.

Knee MRI @ govt hospital not that expensive... but please refer orthopedic doctor first.

Private? idk... it's profit driven.. but worth a shot.

Just submit your medical card, nowadays medical card comes with extremely high annual limit, you don't even have to worry how much it will cost, unless you use it often.

Alot of cowboys also wanted cheap/fast treatment but end up getting worse then blame doc for NOT SUGGESTING MORE THOROUGH (costlier) scan .

Doctors in both government and private hospital do not get anything when they ordered for blood tests/scans/xrays, so when they asked for one, it's usually required. But like lonelynore correctly said, mri is not the first step in diagnosis. It is always HISTORY, PHYSICAL EXAM, XRAYs and MRI/Ct-SCANs if necessary.
