1. Introduction
Thanks to YiQi, we confirmed that tmnet is blocking bittorrent based on user-agents. So if you change the user agent, you will be able to connect to trackers. We can achieve this by using a proxy server which allows use to change the HTTP header.
Damnit.... TMNet lied to me. I called them on hotline two days ago and this support guy Zul told me he experiences the same problem at home but assures me that TMNet does not block p2p traffic... idiotic bugger. Thanks to YiQi, we confirmed that tmnet is blocking bittorrent based on user-agents. So if you change the user agent, you will be able to connect to trackers. We can achieve this by using a proxy server which allows use to change the HTTP header.
YiQi, how did you confirm that TM-net blocks bittorents based on user agents? Some of Malaysian friends on p2p website are still able connect to tracker and do not experience this problem. Any explanation here?
