how can you tell what type of error is it? and how can i tell whether the server is connected? I opened startGUI.bat and i'm able to go to the folders shown in the first post.

my tracker status just stated "can't connect tracker("diff number depending on torrent"), waiting 60s to retry..." I'm using bitcomet 0.7

what else can i do?

First of all, thanks heaps to silverhawk to offer this glimmer of hope!
Unfortunately for me, it still remains as just a hope!! Argg
This is really frustrating, I've followed every instructions closely, tried all kinds of configuration, use other programs like privoxy and PAW, I still can't connect to the tracker.
With PAW, I am constantly getting the HTTP error 500
and with Privoxy, I get the error 503.
I tried re-downloading the torrent too and that didn't work.
Can someone help me please!! Maybe someone who had this problem initially and have now solved it! Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

is using a proxy server solves only HALF the problem?

the other half is the international peers' traffic which may or may not be faking their user-agent.

is this why international peers cannot connect? could someone inform them? to fake their user-agent and use forced encryption?

edit: and another thing: most (all?) the bt CONTENT are internationally sourced right? so how is it possible if all international peers/seeds are blocked for local bt-users to dl "foreign" content to share-share among local bt-users? SOMEONE must be connecting to foreign peers and downloading. is tmnut rotating this "new feature"? to keep the number small without completely cutting off the head of the golden goose?

it is very easy. PAW require java, i suppose if you ever used azureus you have java jre installed. if not go get it.

PAW is a sourceforge project (open sauce! yum!) unzip PAW into folder. look for the conf edit:FOLDER. edit the "headers-request" file so it looks like :

#---------------------------------------------------------------#
# Request Headers
#---------------------------------------------------------------#
# Allows the manipulation of request headers.
# Headers left blank will be deleted from the
# request.
#---------------------------------------------------------------#
# Mask as Mozilla
#User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.4.1) Gecko/20020314 Netscape6/6.2.2

#Mask as Netscape Navigator 4
#User-Agent: Mozilla/4.78 [en] (Win98; U)

# Mask as Microsoft IE 6.0
#User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 4.0)

# Mask as Microsoft IE 5.5
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98) ### this one <---!!!

# Do not submit cookies
#Cookie:I don't like Cookies

double-click "startServer.bat" and you should see a cmd window with some words in it. do not close this window!

change your bt client to use proxy 127.0.0.1 and port 8080.

double-click "startGUI.bat" and if you havent change admin password you should auto login. click on the "eye" icon to look at the logs.

it should be working. i dont use bitcomet so i dunno anything about it, sorry. i suggest utorrent because it is working for me.

cheers.

I've followed everything you posted, but the server log stated a 404 error... anything i can do about that? I've tried restarting the client as well.

secure-tunnel cost money right? and it is a "modification" too ain't it?

i think we're already paying enuf for "broad"band tmnut style.

i don't think it is right to spend more money to "solve" tmnut doings - i can use this money for thatching my leaking roofs first. hmm.gif ?
