I moved into new accommodation that has a nice swimming pool but nothing for jogging. Plus the roads here are populated with heavy traffic that turns me off from jogging on the roadside. But is swimming as good as jogging for cardio exercise?

jogging= bodyweight focus on legs , more to lower body movements. swimming= bodyweight suspended by water , whole body movements.

I would say yes. It activates more muscles of your body compared to jogging.

Swimming is good as it involves the whole body. But one thing I find with swimming is that I tend to feel very hungry after swimming, much hungrier than after jogging

Maybe I'm not a good swimmer but I only felt my biceps being trained when swimming
When I jog only the tight felt the heat

to simulate same muscles or more like running get 2 things, 1. hand paddles (upper body work out) 2. kick board (lower body work out) add planking after swimming swimming is more effective/safer cardio because its non-impact sports

I learnt how to swim a year ago. Since then I swim almost everyday and so addicted to it now. It has improved everything:- snoring problem, heart rate, stamina, and my sex life.

I think swimming is better actually! Low impact workout, less probability of getting injured, as vs running.
