I wonder why so many cars have faulty takata airbag. How come only Honda city is affected in Malaysia? I suspect Honda city cut cost on certain metal components causing it to shatter in pieces when unable to withstand the airbag explosion.

other brands also..

FYI, in malaysia, brands like toyota, nissan, mazda and mitsubishi are affected too

the problem does not lies within the cost cutting of the vehicles, it is from the weakened inflator propellant canister made by takata

just for US plant, isn't it ?
HQ still based in japan ma~

US alone is enough to kill the entire company ww.

Also if this US huuhaa recall don't kill them, their market share will shrink to the bone.

mind sharing which HU u bought?

go to aliexpress

look for Honda City Android 5.1.1

there's few so basically they are the same just branding and looks.

Many would recommend Joying but joying, you need to get few extra stuff to fit your car else it's a good player with good support team.

Like me, I just got the OEM 9" screen coz it comes with canbus and panel with additional add on of reverse camera and DVR.

Note : the Reverse Cam quality is so so but I don't really care, just need to know if anything's blocking or near.

DVR, since it's like super cheap, I just bundle in. laugh.gif

Y dun u all change better quality HU lik pioneer or kenwood?
*
because in terms of sound quality (Tested) I find the OEM 55w output vs pioneer/kenwood (the new RM2k above model) is about par... only the branded is 2x expensive.

frankly there's not much difference except the ROM that is installed and with OEM, I can actually ROOT, change new rom and install "ANY"[U][I] app I want without worrying much.

There's also a lot of support from android community ~!

Again nothing's wrong with buying branded

@chrischiang : Yes Aliexpress only have right driving unit. No need to look at taobao or tmall. I already tried asked many resellers for right driving/
