You can make the battery to operate as normal. That's why I say it's really cool. I did it to my original battery and original 1Gig MSPD. Tried on my 3rd party battery, it didn't properly flash the serial number but fortunately it's working fine...hahahaha I thought I've brick my battery.

Yes, I agree its good not to charge people, but then, if you give free upgrade to everyone, imagine how many people will come to you and ask for your help? It will cost you your time, money (electricity bills), etc. Thus, to prevent that, some people need to charge. Am I making any sense here?

can sum1 help me .. screwed my only psp ... >.< .. how to fix it? i think i bricked my psp .. it turns on but shows a black screen then turns off again.. i can enter the recovery menu .. it happenned after modding the xmb icons n fonts.. i did it bfr.. it was ok..... please add me in msn . hedwig841@Hotmail.com .. i need to fix it >.<!

Together two very respected scene names, Mathieulh and Dark_AleX (who remains in retirement, by the way), have dumped the PSP Slim's NAND memory. It would appear the idstorage area is fully encrypted now, and the NAND memory capacity has doubled, bringing it to 64MB + an extra 2MB for spare data, checksums/ECC, etc... At least we have more room to play with now.

No public release of the NAND dumper, yet. And don't count on Mathieulh and/or Dark_AleX for theirs - it was achieved for their own educational purposes; just to show it's possible. It wouldn't serve the average Joe much use anyway. No doubt we'll see more soon.
